Ok, me and my friend decided to start concentrating on a play list that we were both low true skills in so we could progress together. We chose Doubles as I was a 14 and he was a 6. We played about 15 games, winning 13 and loosing 2. After we won the first game, my friend went from a 6 to an 8 and I didn't go up. He was a lower true skill than me, so I wasn't really bothered. Any way after about 10 more games, I end up going up to a 15, but my friend also does. That annoyed me. He's gone up 9 and I went up 1 in a night. And this is the most annoying part. Today, we played a game and I got a perfection and he went up and I didn't. So after playing the same amount of games, winning and loosing the same amount, he's taken over me in true skill. And not to brag but I did better than him in most game So how exactly does the ranking system work? Because to be honest this doesn't make sense.
I understand, but if me and my friend are the same normal ranks, (Commander grade 2) and we both play and win the same amount of games, doesn't that mean we would be near enough the same sigma? And once we're at the same true skill, we were playing the same true skills as us so it should be all equal for the ranking up chance?
