Alright, honestly I've grown used to Activision screwing everyone over by providing less than 50 songs in a game. Now, with that aside, this setlist ****ing wins. Most of the great VH hits are on there along with a few personal favorites, and (even though I don't understand why they are even in the game) the other artists songs are good for the most part. But seriously, Activision and Harmonix need to realize that nobody wants to play the same song in two different games. The average GH/RB fanboy doesn't know or care what the other game's setlist is so they aren't complaining about how they want a song the other did, and the only people who actually would care and know both setlists are people who most likely own both games. So just ****ing stop.
Wooow, outside of the Van Halen stuff (and Queen, more Queen is never a bad thing) I do not dig that setlist at all. Too much modern rock crap that won't be fun, and all the good/fun songs (Space Truckin', Master Exploder, ****ing Painkiller) are already on Rock Band. Major dissapointment. I'll rent it, but thats it.
Blink 182? seriously how much do I have to hear about that overated pile of ****. Anyways Van halen is good but I don't know if I could just play all van halen for an entire game and a few other thing alot of which isn't good either.
I would only spend 60 dollars on a game like this if it were to be the same thing yet be on the Rock Band engine. Otherwise, like Lippy I'll most likely just rent it just like how I only rented GH: Metallica and GH: Smash Hits. Personally, I think games like these were it's dedicated to a specific artist/group or specific category/genre isn't worth 60 dollars. There's only like nine songs I like on that entire setlist any way.
When will they learn that there are probably 3 bands in the world that could pull off a game based on themselves one of them they've already done, the other two will never allow it to happen. Plus, American rock bands are **** (JHE don't count cause they did everything in UK)
I think Activision and Harmonix both hit their heads in the dark and forgot they aren't EA. I mean releasing a game for a band that has a famous guitarist will only get you the super fans. So screw both RB:Beatles and GH:Van Helan put them on the Marketplace and let us dl the ones we want.
Your taste in music must be ****, then. I love Van Halen, the other bands have no corralation to them in this game, so I may rent. Guitar hero 5, though, the animation looks amazing.
