Sorry for posting another thread about Dazzle questions, and asking all over the place. In order to get my question across easiliy, I have created a picture. MS Paint ftw

What is the point of using couplers when you can just do that?

because the picture is normally laggy on the PC screen. but it also depends on if your TV has "OUT" port's.

I do have "OUT" ports. But shouldn't you still be able to play on the TV like this? Why do people say that the PC screen being laggy is a limitation if I can still see the TV?

That should be absolutely fine. Go for it and good luck.

What type of TV do you have where it has out ports.

with my dazzle i discovered that if you turned off HDTV settings and made it standard definition, you can still play using the TV since the composite (red, green, blue) cords act as component (red, white, yellow). its like you have couplers already. the only downside is that you cant hear what you're playing unless you're using a third party headset like turtle beach or something.

if you can deal without listening to the noise, it saves money since the dazzle can only capture standard video thus rendering HD resolution on the xbox rather useless.

I'm gonna say do it this way:

    You'll need Y-splitters though. They're only like £5 for 5, and I got mine gold-plated too.

It's pretty simple, just plug the matching colours into your Y-splitters, like so:
The bottom red cable on this pic leads to the TV INPUT. You don't need output ports to do it 'my' way. You can do it with a SCART input too, actually.

Then you plug the male end of the Y-splitter into the corresponding female slot on the Dazzle, like this:

This is where the other end of the double-ended RCA cable goes in 'my' setup:

Your method works, but it doesn't let you switch to AV channels on most TVs for some reason.

Also, one last thing, switch your little xbox TV cord to TV, not HDTV, at the end where it plugs into the xbox.

That method is ghastly, easpecially if you get some cheap couplars because the cables will just slide about loose. If your TV has output then go for it, if it has a scart lead input then im gonna post a tut on how to get output from that soon :p

As for the couplars, AWFULL :p
