I just joined the site today and posted my first map! http://www.forgehub.com/forum/competitive-maps/81463-helms-deep-beta.html#post982803 I've used a lot of other editors in the past, but I know more people who play Halo than any other game, so I figured that I ought to give its editor a try. One of the staple levels I always build when I am learning a new editor is Helms Deep from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. That is what I have released up above. I still have a few things to figure out in forge, namely player spawns points and spawn areas. If there are any good tutorials on these, please point me in their direction!
Welcome to Forgehub, jgreiner. Seeing that you would like learn more about Forge and the different aspects about it such as respawns the best place for you is the Forging 101. You'll find that many of the tutorials found in the Forging 101 can do you great justice and provide you with much knowledge on pretty much every thing you need to know about Forge. Since you wanted to learn more about respawns there are two guides that can provide you with much information about that general area of Forge, Effective Spawn Placement and Advanced Guide to Respawns. If you haven't already I recommend that you take a look over the Rules. By doing so you'll most likely decrease the chance of doing something wrong. As long as you're good member on the site and follow the rules I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. Even though you already posted your map it would be best to check and read over this, which contains the guidelines and rules of posting maps and posting on other member's maps. If you are confused about what a specific forum is and what it's purpose is, feel free to check this thread out, as it thoroughly explains what each forum is and what it's purpose is. And last but not least you should also read up on the Forum features/options/issues thread which explains how the BB codes work and what they are, what the user titles are, and the ranking system on Forgehub. I hope you enjoy the site and if you need any more help with anything, or have any questions, feel free to contact me, or any other member on the site.
