MLG map question..

    Well, I didn't know where to post this and I have no clue what to do here... So, basically I'm making an MLG map on sandbox and I'm almost done with it but I have a few kinks to work out and I'm confused on where to put some weapons....I wanna have rockets, sniper, and a mauler, just because..and I used to have the sniper up THERE....which is on the side of the map, the rockets HERE, which is in the middle, across from the bases, and then the mauler HERE, which is on the opposite side as sniper tower.

    And after playing a few MLG matches here with my friends, a lot of them suggested that I should move around those weapons....They said that rockets should be up on the tower, where sniper was; sniper should be at the gold base, where mauler was; and then mauler in the middle, where rockets were.

    I'm not sure if I should leave them or change them, so I came here for help, please let me know what your opinion is...

    Well if you provided an overview of the map it would be more helpful as to see what the map is like and how the land around each map could benefit having that weapon. You don't want to put the weapon some where it would be easily used. Like you don't want a snipe to spawn on top of a tower, because in most cases in encourages camping. The mauler shouldn't be near tight turns and narrow hallways, because it would be too dominate when someone gets is.

    I think the rockets are in a good place, because having them in the center makes it a rush point and will add to the gameplay. It would be better if the rocket was in some sort of choke point, like the rockets on The Pit. The hallway make for a small space to rush into, so the bodies can pile up pretty quickly. That fast paced start to a game is what makes it exciting.

    Maybe you could have a mauler at each base, or a sniper at each base. Again, like The Pit, they can counter balance each other. Just like the snipers do, because they pick up the rifle and immediately exchange shots. If each one can balance the other, it would further add to the gameplay. I can't tell you which one would be better, or if it would work at all, because I don't know what the layout is like.

    Maybe if you moved the sniper from the ramp, into the bases, you could put the mauler on the ramp. Then you out a custom power up where the mauler used to be. Of course I can't say anything for sure, because I don't know what the map is like as a whole.
