Or not..no one seemed to be able to come to a consensus as to whether they were or not. I wanted to check em out, but it's certainly not worth being banned (even for a short time) for. Now it seems slightly illogical to be banned for simply downloading someone elses creation, but then again, I don't know all that much about this stuff.
AChronos (B.net Overlord) on Bungie stated that downloading them was against the Terms of Agreement (or Terms of Service, one of the two) for Xbox Live. I'm not sure if they would track everyone down to ban them all but I wouldn't do it either way if I were you.

I downloaded that Botground map. I to was worried about getting banned too so I moved it to my backup account and deleted it off my XBL account. I didn't get any ban or suspension for it.
i have downloaded every one of Anthony's modded maps, and guess what. no bans! now isn't it funny that i DIDN'T get banned for something i SHOUDN'T get banned for?

You can't get Banned or suspended for Dling or playing modded maps, if you have created it and put it in your fileshare, then you can get banned.
Lol if a guy from bungie just read this you would prolly be banned for a short while... But anyways ya if you have downloaded them keep em' secret...Or you will never know what might happen the next day.......
Modifying files on your 360 is against the terms of service. Downloading and playing them is a risk you may or may not want to take. As it stands anyone posting modded maps on Forge Hub will receive a short ban.

Thankyou...I've seen the elephant one and looked at videos..i was only really curious about the pelican on the pit. I don't think I need to see them, but a question..do people use outside devices (programs and whatever) to mod halo, or is it just sorta like glitching it while playing?
I thought the modded Valhalla map was really cool. It just had additional trees, but it seemed to look good. I wish bungie would add some organic geometry to forge....it would be nice.
