Foundry Ghost

    Hello, I'm sorry if I break any rules in this post, but I am completely new and have read them, but some of the rules I do not understand.

    I'm sure the map plays and looks terrible. Just try it, though. I would imagine it is fun, and if it isn't too flawed, I may remake it so it looks and plays better.

    Anyway, I forged the map Ghost. Ghost is a map set up for Assualt and only Assualt. I made a gametype to go with it.

    In Ghost, there are two teams. One is a defender, the other is the attacker, obviously.

    The attackers (Ghosts) are invisible and have swords and run slightly faster than the defenders. However, they only do 50% damge and they must replenish their active camo once in the game. The Ghosts spawn on either side of the inside base and must get a custom power-up and go through a teleporter quick. The teleporter is going to be put under heavy fire soon.

    The defenders (Soldiers/Police) have guns and know where the Ghosts are going to, but they are visible and run slower than the Ghosts. The Police spawn in the middle of the base. They can either defend the walkway, go up to the front and defend the gate, or go to the bomb site immediatly.

    Hey dude, have you seen the forge 101 thread before? I think it could really help you because many of your objects aren't staight. It is important that you straighten out these lopsided objects, as it shows how much time and effort went into the creation of this map. When you finish, perhaps more people will test or be more appritiative of your forging skills. Your post is orgNized very well for a first timer, but the map doesn't impress me too much. It needs something central that makes a person remember the map. Keep forging...

    I'm sorry it looks so bad, I've only had the Heroic Map Pack for about 3 weeks, and the default maps aren't that good for forging.. And which Forging101 threads specifically should I read?

    You should read all of them. But here are the main ones to read:

    Basic Interlocking

    Floating

    Advanced Floating

    Geomerging

    Once you've read them you could probably read the advanced ones and others if you want. Just forging will get you better.


    For your first map its actually pretty good. Mine was fail. I can see potential as long as you learn and improve. Once you've learnt the basics it'll be ALOT easier to make good maps.

    well honestly the gametype sounds fun and cool but the map is not made good at all i think maybe ill download the gametype and make a map for it

    This map is horrible.

    ForgeHub has very high standards, obviously you have not looked around lately (wouldn't you notice if all the other maps in the section were better than yours?). The building is extremely sloppy and after looking at most of the pictures, I could tell the gameplay would be horrible. 1/5+No download
