I'm new to Forge Hub, however, I've been always interested in interlocking and merging forging techniques. So, I present you: Zombie Trap Here's the Gametype Brief Description: This is a map I made. It took extensive work for about two weeks. Planning and designing was one of my primary goals. Although I used a lot of basic to advanced interlocking and simple merging techniques, this map has a confusing maze with second level compartments for hiding, and traps that will surprise you even if you try not to fall for them. As the zombie, I would watch your back and look everywhere before walking into a corner; unlike other maps where everyone has to run away from the zombie, this map is very "close-quarters" with "crazy" hiding spots. I would recommend only infection gametypes, however, feel free to experiment with others. This is my first forged map using interlocking and merging, so please give me feedback on my design, etc. Note: I've tested this map many times already to correct errors, however, based on user feedback, I may create a Version 2 to address any issues or add/change things. Also, there can only be a maximum 12 people; however, I may have added more (aprrox. 18), but a max of "12" is to be on the safe side. Pictures: I've only taken general snapshots, because I do not want to spoil the fun of going through this "crazy" maze of traps and cool hiding spots. Also, it has a roof, though the first 3 pics show you what's to be expected on the inside. Hope you guys like it
Good then people can't jump out. This looks like a great map and I like the fact that there is quite a bit of interlocking unlike other maze maps I have seen. Are there any weapons in the maze to assist the survivors. That way the humans will travel through the maze looking for them instead of camping in a corner
wow that is a good maze it s very original the idea of running of the zombie because he can be on any plaze of the maze and looks fun to play with friends definetely dl. keep forging .
Well, I was waiting on some feedback of my map, however, I will upload a gametype that suits the map (I see that most people are too lazy to customize their own). Also, once you get used to the maze, it does seem smaller than in the pictures. Some advice: to get through the map more easily, you must crouch jump onto those merged (merged into the floor) boxes, and there's one trap you can evade (one with the truck in the corner) by swerving to the left as soon as you get pushed by the man cannon; if you hit the door, you're dead. Another helpful hint (primarily for the zombies): In the second picture, you see a gravlift (on the right). The double box to the top-right of the gravlift has a small opening to see what's on the other side (across). To get through, you must swerve through it as quick as you can (get some space before entering that small gap though). Note: you have to get on that merged double box at the bottom-left of the gravlift, and destroy the gravlift in order to reach that "double box" that I'm talking about. Also, some teleporters have the advantage of being blocked by obstacles (from traps), you can use this to your advantage as some hiding spots can be accessible once this occurs (this was an intentional design, not a flaw).
Alright I've made a gametype, and uploaded it. Also, I've modified the existing map variant and tweaked it a bit (it's like a version 1.1 now). *New "Zombie Trap" version and/or Gametype can now be downloaded in my first post.
