Sandbox IZ9 Courtyard v3

    This is an updated version my map which was featured on the Bungie vs The World playlist on July 7th.

    List of changes:
    * Added an additional sender/receiver teleport
    * Moved the sender teleporters, they are now positioned so that when the player takes one they are still facing the same direction as when they entered. Just keepin it simple
    * Receiver nodes detached from the top tower level and placed on small platforms slightly higher to give people taking the teleporters a better chance against people already on the top tower level
    * More cover added to the bases so spawns are protected from people wandering the outskirts of the map
    * Placement of the attacker and defender spawn areas and spawn points were refined
    * The sword was moved to the pillars geomerged in the sand do help reduce camping the top tower.
    * The two rockets were consolidated into one rocket with 1 spare clip and placed on the middle level of the tower where the sword was.
    * Regens removed (to help reduce camping and get more $$)
    * Snipers reduced to 0 spare clips and respawn time set to 180
    * Modified grenade assortments, grenades of the same type spawn togher. e.g. plasmas spawn in twos instead of one plasma/one frag
    * Added two assault rifles
    * Moved some dual wieldable weapons to spawn next to each other instead of one over here and the other somewhere over there annoyance.

    Map Description (As seen in map browser):
    IZ9 Courtyard, celebrate your special day at Area IZ9's most sought after wedding venue! 6-12 players (v3.2)

    The main focus of this map was to include multi-level action along with close and medium range combat.

    I also worked hard on the aesthetics of the map. I tried to make the architecture believable, so I searched the internet for ancient temples and ruins for inspiration.

    Well I did not mind this map once I learnt how to play it (I failed utterly the first few times and my team was destroyed), but I can not really see what has been changed. It looks like you have added two tele's for the top level but I can't remember if they were already there or not?

    It would be helpful if you had an over head view that shows the updated weapon placement on the map also as I can not see any weapons at all in the two pics you have posted.

    Sadly I only played this once, and every other game was Grenader or what ever the hell that shitty foundry map was.

    I liked this map but all I hated was the telecamping on top, but I guess that was stopped by the grev lifts

    i can see one good thing you have definatly changed!

    the teleporter used to be in the middle of the top platform now its to the side on a part that you have to jump of to get to the middle, this stops me and my friends from what we were doing on this map on bungie day :p good job you picked up on it to improve the map

    If this is a map that you have improved from another map you should have screenshots from the original for others to compare it against.

    You should also say what it is you have changed.

    the bases on the side have changed i like that i remember them being more open but i don't know how the spawns are and the top is better with the teleporter it used to be impossible to get in it on bungie day and with what someone said earlier about you telling us the changes i think you should too

    There.

    IZ9 Courtyard is one of my favourite Atlas maps. I've tested quite a few and some of them, when I see the name appear in the Customs Lobby, I can't help thinking "Oh please, not again". IZ9 isn't one of those, I loved testing it.

    Congrats on getting it in to 7on7!

    Looks like a great map. I watched some of the videos and got a pretty good idea of the map. The one question I had was that I saw a regenerator being used and that wasn't in you weapon layout.

    Sorry, only the first video is of a recent version of the map. I put the others there for people that may not have seen them already.

    I know you added an additional teleporter and moved them on platforms, but that doesn't stop the camping. It helps, but it doesn't stop it. Everyone goes straight for that tower, I played this and no one stayed on the bottom, it was just a mad rush for the tower, and guess what: whichever team controlled the top level raped everything. For the most part. Sometimes a lucky stick would clear it somewhat if they huddled.

    edit: not a bad map, but it's focused too much around that top level.

    This looks like a great map and all when it comes to gameplay, and it has nice interlocking, but where is a DL link?

    I think the additional teleporter does help a lot and I did about 6 to 8 additional play tests since the update. True there is still camping but it is a lot easier to take them out now.

    Plus I think camping is just apart of the game. People camp the spartan laser spawn on High Ground, camp the top orange grav lift and the upper central corridors on Construct, camp the orange grav lift room on Guardian. etc. etc.

    Are you seriously serious?? You EDIT a map that was already created and re-release it and now you're claiming the downloads? This isn't what Forgehub was meant for.

    I'm confused, are you saying that I didn't make the original map?

    EDIT: Ok, I updated the verbiage of the first sentence in the original post so that it is clear that this is really my original map. Not a map taken from the Bungie Vs The World playlist and edited.
