The rock just doesn't look right to me. Also, maybe move it farther away (vertical, in the image) so that you can see it descending into the ocean. Then do some blending to make it look like it's going in the water.
wow, that looks really good! I only see two problems, The left side of the building looks faded, and the rock on the bottom looks way way to smooth. But it could be from erosion, it just doesnt look right. But otherwise, this looks really good.
ignoring the last part because I don't feel like doing it atm, the bottom of the rock is all natural, you have to remember its by the ocean and water can make rock smooth. However if you mean the rock right next to the bottom of the building, I made that so its possible it doesn't look right. Thanks for the feed back.
Add some light light fog or something over the rock and chapel thing to make it look more natural. I think that would really improve it. Other than that, it looks pretty good.
I know someone said this already but they're right when they say that the left part of the building looks slightly blurry, other than that I like it.
It looks like a render on a background. I know that's not what it is, it's just what it looks like for me.
Now that is a way small of scale rock. "You have to remember" that when it's supporting a city, the rocks are usually much larger, and the water doesn't reach that high. Also, if the water did reach that high, due to the scale and weight, the water would erode it, and it would fall. But that's only IF we're getting technical.
To have a nice ending to this conversation, I'm going to ask you why you didn't just post the picture in the first place.
He means the fact that the rock the city is on doesn't go into the water in that picture. So it looks like a render on a background. This is easily fixed though, and I'm sure you've done something similar. Just smudge the stock around a bit, (using various brushes, and tampering with the rate) and you should have it.
how many times do I have to say this, the rock is in the picture, therefore thats how it really looks. Therefore, I'm not messing with the bottom of the rock. and frag, the building isn't even near the water...
