Description: After years of time in the forge sharpening my skills like the master chiefs reflexes, I Gassy Mule have created my pride and joy.... !!VECTOR!! Weapons/Equipment: -4 SMG's with 1 spare clip (2 at each spawn) -4 Battle Rifles with full ammo (2 at each spawn) -2 Assult Rifles with full ammo (1 at each spawn) -2 Plasma Rifles (1 on eithor side above the drop tunnel's) -2 Plasma Pistols (1 on eithor side in the drop tunnel's) -1 Shotgun with minimal ammo (In the observation room) -8 Frag grenades (3 in each spawn and two by shotgun) -4 Stickies (1 in, and one above-in drop tunnel for-each spawn) -2 Tripmines (1 for each spawn) -1 Gravity lift (floating in the center of chasm) -1 Regen (observation room) VECTOR is a high intensity balanced map. Its my best so far and took roughly six hours to make. I demonstrate Great attention to detail and appeal. During a Team slayer game: You spawn, you or your teamates attack up through the Grav-alators and try to control the top with BR's--or you can Rush Observation Room, and try to control the shotgun and Regen. During a Team KOTH match: This really depends so I'll leave the Basic Strategy up to you guys to figure out. well i used walls, double walls, and corner walls for the actual arches but the making of it i used crates and double boxes and weapon holders, but my techniques ill never tell.
The map looks very interesting and original i have to say that the interlocking has made this map look very pleasing to the eye. I like that you have eliminated the spawn killing factor. Just wondering about the observation i can not see a way to get to it in the pictures but i will have to d/l and check it out. how many people does it play best with?
I like! that six hours of work looks like it was worth it, ill have to download sometime and test it out, but keep up with the good work.
Looks very well done. I love the trench, very cool. The only thing is that all of the spawn points seem clumped. Which ultimately leads to spawn camping. Maybe you could spread the love around the bit and sprinkle some spawns all over.
Thank you all for your replies! First off, The Observation room is reached from a long hallway from the spawn's. as i said this is a very fast paced map so what seems like getting the shotgun and camping spawn easy is not as easy as you think. second this map is best played with 2-8 players--maybe 10 but id probably have to fix the spawns up a bit(thank you TXGhost for the suggestion). Keep in mind that i havent even had a full fledged test run for it.(PM me if you want to help test). P.S. ill post more pictures soon of the halls and Observation Room!
Wow, I don't say this often, but I really like this map, not just because it's fun, has good dynamics, and because it's fast paced, but because it's original. Not too often do I see a map on here that is original. I see so so so so... many maps on here that play well and are fun, but are lacking on originality. Nice work with finally bringing back some originality in a lackluster flood of non-original maps. Keep up the good forging and hope to see some more cool original creations from you in the future.

Using crates and surrounding them with weapon holders is very unsightly. Why not just interlock a single box on the centre then? It would have looked alot more professional im ny oppinion.

yes i know that it is very unsightly but i really dont want those crates to move. about the center box please elaborate im not sure i get your drift.
As for your technique steam, ill bet I could take a pretty solid guess at it, but I'll never say if you dont want, that would not be nice. As for the map, looks like its very intricate and took a while to make. everything also seems very neat and organized. I like it.

Haha! I only really have one thing that is really usefull that i tought myself all of the of the others is really just knowing the geomatry for many of the objects. But i still dont want you to guess
Yeah I can see the simalarities to my map valley but not completly the same but this looks like a cool map but looks like there could be some spawn camping.
