Cross The Border Hello Forgers, this is my first map, hope you like it (btw, constructive criticism pl0x ) Anyways, Cross The Border is just like Grifball. Add in weapons, vehicles, and sniper towers, and you get Cross The Border. Oh yeah, don't forget the big-arse wall Okay, so there are 6 rounds, consisting of 3 minutes each (really 2 minutes; each base has a minute to set up, then the man cannons in the attacking base spawn so they can get over the wall) so it is possible to tie. The defending team is very powerful; they have 2 tanks, 2 wraiths, and 2 choppers. They have an armory full of very powerful weapons: They also have 3 sniper towers to get a vantage point on the battlefield. Sort of. View From Top The attacking base, however, has less powerful weapons and vehicles. They have a number of warthogs and ghosts. After one minute (when the man cannons spawn), transport hornets spawn. They, like, the defending base, have an armory as well, but they have lower powered weapons. View From Top (at start game) View From Top (after 1 minute) I've heard from some people that it is too dark to see, but I decided to keep it there for the aesthetic-ness. I might remove it in v2. The bomb carrier has 2x overshields, normal gravity, and twice the speed. Everyone else has default settings. Everyone also has shotgun start. Well, that's basically it, hope you enjoy! Oh yeah, the map is intended for large parties, preferably 10-16 players. It's not that good with small parties. Map: The Border Gametype: Crossing Over
How much of a chance does the attacking team have against heavy weapons and tanks? Aesthetic wise, the effects make it looks nice, but it could be a pain in the ass.
Well, the defending team is trying to hold off the attacking team, to me, it made sense. When I was testing it out (party of around 10), the attacking team, a lot of times they were able to plant the bomb.
I was part of XTangent's inital testing party, and we had fun. Our only complaint was that it was really freaking dark and hard to see. Both sides are pretty balanced in general, though offense is a bit stronger than defense with some good strategy.
