I know, the title isn't that catchy. But I'm asking, (trying to be polite), if there is any way to use the maximum/minimum object limit of a grav lift so that each round it spawns in a different place? My plan 1) place 4 different grav lifts in 4 different places (the equipment ones). 2) change the object limit so only 1 is allowed. 3) Start a new round. Theoretically, only 1 of the 4 will spawn. Theoretically. I'm not sure how to go about this, though, as forge won't let me change the object limit when the grav lifts are placed. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. -MQ
thats a good question but unfortuently i cant answer that for you. I dont know how to do it. maybe try setting them al like this: respawn: 180 place at start: no then do that min/max thing. thats all i can think of.
You can't lower that maximum. but you can force spawn 1 and leave all four set to no. Only problem is 180 seconds in you either let them all spawn or cover them all up. Other problem is if you destroy it it spawns elsewhere.
This is why this technique was specifically thought out for randomized spawning of immovable objects... Maybe you could use mancannons instead?
The idea is, there are 2 floors (maybe more). You spawn in the bottom area by the crate-lift, and the equipment-grav lift will spawn in one of 4 different places. The humans have to find it and return to the lift to proceed to the next area, whilst the zombies on the map run around, drooling and eating humans' brains. I think that the humans will all be infected after 3 minutes if they haven't made it to the next area, so I'm not too worried about that. Thanks for all the help, I'll try out the min/max thingamajig. Hopefully, hopefully, it'll work. -MQ
