Hey, I'm making a map in sandbox where there is a courtyard, and an area overlooking it. I tried making this map on Foundry (but ran out of space). I used the window frames on there, and need something to replace them in Sandbox. I'm looking for a design that will give the players the most space to shoot through. If need be I can use a wall slit but I would prefer more space than that - Any ideas?

You could place a couple double walls, single walls, or however many you need for your window space. Then stack a couple walls flat ontop, and make another row of walls floating. That way it's like a slit wall, but with no gaps between slits.

If you need a window about the size of a window panel, you could try interlocking two half walls for the hole.

Interlocking two half walls is the best way to go, and if you want a more narrow window, two quarter walls.

I would agree with Noxiw and suggest interlocking half or quarter walls together.

why don't you just use a wall slit?

Wall slits are more restricted for shooting, and they also look bad. Constructing your own window generally looks better.

You can't shoot through it though is the problem, but try something like this. Sorry I know it's a bad pic, but basically all it is is a shield door merged into wall halves and it's fairly nice aesthetically. For your map, if you don't want people going through them, then I suggest you make the metal bars out of scaffoldings so people can't go through them. Or maybe even just do that without the shield doors?

Check out Insane's Eyewitness map (search for it). If you took teh shield doors out of that it would work well. Either that or just separate two long wedges a bit so you cant jump through but you can see/shoot through
