    Ravinia

Do to this amount of changes, I decided to repost Ravinia because it plays so differently from it's first version.

As Shishka said on the Ravinia Atlas post, parts of the map need fixing. So me and my partner AZN FTW looked back, took a deep breath, and worked on this as hard as we could. Here is what resulted:

Here is a list of v3 changes (but the map title doesn't have v3 in it):

Spawn points revamped to face toward targets and goals of the map. Extra piece of cover added by the shotgun spawn. This compliments that hill in KOTH and makes the shotgun more noticable. Shotgun is now somewhat of a nuetral weapon and both teams have an equal chance of getting it. BRs on the attacking team and a carbine in the defending base are set to have more ammo. Power Drain placed instead of regenerator. This is more of an attacking effect, rather than a stay alive effect. Both the power drain and the bubble shield in the defending base are set to respawn in both symmetric and asymmetric games. The power drain is placed in a redesigned point in the attacker's base. I will add pictures later today. There is no needler now because of it's inablity to prove itself useful. Now, we have 2 spikers, that are happily sitting where the needler used to be.

Every break is now fixed that was found before too. If you find any breaks, feel free to leave a comment. But before you do, think about the chances of doing it is a game. Is it some messed up HLG jump grenade thingy that took you all day and you only got it once? If it is a resonable flaw then tell me all about it :)

Last but not least, the sexy purple light behind the sniper rifle returns! It really creates a mood that the previous blue light couldn't match. everyone in the testing films enjoyed it and I hope that everyone will too coming Augest 7.

Wow, I am glad to see the amount of attention this map is getting in atlas. I really hope that Shishka likes the changes that you've made. I knew this map was going to go far from the beginning. It plays like a charm, and is fun on almost every game type I have played on. Not only that, but in one-sided objective games, I had fun wether I was attacking OR defending because the map is so balanced. Ravinia has everything a map in matchmaking should have and the only thing it needs now is a little luck. With that said, good luck on getting it in matchmaking shockwave.

WOW it was too cramped when i played it so you went and added more stuff to it. Also the gameplay sucked the red bace will get all the power weapons. also the Overshild is right under the sniper and the rockets are like 10 feet away from the sniper and overshild. sorry to say this but this map sucks, it look okay but the gameplay is terrible.

Cramped? Gameplay sucked? These are not at all problems. If red base gets the power weapons, then make a plan to stop them before they do, or kill them. Have you even played it with a full party?

I have to say that I've always loved this map, and the changes you made are for the best out of playability. It plays like a charm in 1-flag games, as well as team slayer. The purple light is down-right smexy. I'll be on the lookout for escapability as well. And nice add, the power drain! I heard that people wanted it in the map for flag games when a bunch of us played it, and it will really change how the map flows. The map is really balanced, and the changes are for the best. Good luck with macthmaking, hope it gets in.

I played this a few times in BvTW and I had a hell of a time getting the flag out of the Defender's Base. (One Flag, of course.) Each time I played this, the Defenders were easily able to camp on their flag, and I didn't feel like I had a very good chance at removing them from their spot. I think I played about 5 One Flag games on Ravinia, and each ended in a 0-0 stalemate. I hope that the v3 changes (particularly with the neutralization of the shotgun,) will solve this issue.
