Well, as most of you know, the most recent weekly whats update has released info about the new maps forge capabilities and items, and apprently the people at bungie thought that they would be usefull to us, thus this thread. People post here BEFORE the maps come out, saying how they think they will use the mentioned items and terrain to their advantage, and if they think the said items will be cool. Afterwards, EDIT your before post, sectioning it off with a line of ------------------------------------------------------------------ and say how you DID use the map, and did it meet up to your expectations. These comparisions would be pretty neat to look back onto after the maps come out, and you would be able to say things like "wow... These are sooo much cooler than i thought they would be." or "Those were useless" Ill start first, I think the map I will most be forging on is Avalanche, mainly because of the said "Impasable shield doors" and the new immovable objects. I'll try to make a few floating maps, or enclosed maps on avalanche as well. and yay me for my 100th post!
Hard to make plans without knowing exactly what is available in forge. But I've got some ideas for more mazes inside the bases on Avalanche and a bit on the outside to work a bit like trench warfare. Complete with machine gun pill boxes.
I don't think Ghosttown will be that great for forging due to the fact that it looks very enclosed and the ground looks very hilly. Blackout will be great if Bungie supplies us with enough boxes, walls and a door that will fit in exactly with the buildings in the map. For Avalanche I will probably make a few different VIP Races and some one sided maps. It all depends on what Bungie gives us.
Read the weekly update re-blackout doors mate. as for ghost town, that's a hard one. Looking at the up date pics, it looks to be a bit like High ground but with a bit more stuff like cat walks and planks of wood. hopefully there will be other stuff as well but with these you could do several things. Especially i they are destructible like pallets.
I think I am going to use AVALANCHE for the mid to large maps. BLACKOUT is going to be used for small and mid maps. I would post my ideas, but they will be stolen
Me-thinks Ghost Town has possibilities with the option of adding barriers to block off sections of a map.
Depends on what else we have other than the platforms and planks. in the pics it looks like we might get a steel plate skid aswell. Not sure about the invis bariers.
It's hard to say just yet, but i love the sound of all of the new forge items. I'm probably going to see what i can do with Blackout first.
i am going to make a map kinda like hobo heights over the ravine on avalanche if you watch the trailer you will know what i mean
Although I plan to forge on all the maps my first legendary forging will be on avalanche because it has walls and some enticing objects...
Ya all the maps but my top two would be ghost town and avalanche. Ghost town because there seems to be more "different things" at least i think so. Like the pieces of wood and new crates (the barrels) Lol can't wait fo someone to make a cabin And avalanche because of its massive size. The new sweet lookin walls. And the big containers, Because you can prolly make the biggest maze in halo history with those things . Also those big round thing *ummm forgets the name*...
oh man...so hard to tell, i cant really give you an opinion yet, but i can say YAY LOCKOUT!!! Also, to rebut that statement, i would just like to say YAY SIDEWINDER!!!
Plans in the works mate. Need to find out exactly how many walls and stuff we have to use but hopefully I won't run out of them as quik as I did in foundry. Although I could always make the hallways big enough for the warthog to fit.... Hmmm...

Get firefox with auto spell check lol. Now back on topic before I get banned in my first week on the site. Looking at those walls and stuff and remembering that Bungie know that we all wanted a level like foundry but outside.. I wonder if avalanche is not only sidewinder revisited but also the new foundry?
