Empyrean Recommended Gametypes: Team Dubz with Slayer and CTF Vassup FH! I is her to sho u my nu map. It's mainly just a Team Doubles map that's a lot of fun. It's a medium/small map located in the skybubble on Sandbox. When making this map I had Blackout in mind and I wanted a similarly themed map (like with the platforms connected by walkways). Yet this map is still unique and not just your simple sky map. Empyrean can be quite enyoyable to play yet still being competitive, which is why this is my favorite map out of all that I've made, as well as my friends liking it. They thought the geometry of the map was well executed and the map flows nicely. And I interlocked not for just aesthetics, but to enhance the flow and circulation to improve the gameplay. I made the map so that every platform is accessible through not just one way, but multiple ways to reduce any cheap gameplay. This map has gone through rigorous testing to fine tune it to the highest degree possible. If you want something to have a fun and competitive game on, this map is definitely for you. Wow this really looks great and i can tell you put a good amount of time and effort into this map. Great weapon layout too nothing to dominating and only one power weapon. One thing though is i think it may be to small for ctf but im gonna dl and edit post than. Quick question did you put oddball into this map seems like fun for oddball. but great work 4.5/5
Yeah oddball is pretty fun but there were too many spots for them to camp and when the oddball was dropped off it just sat at the bottom of sandbox and would take a while to reset. thanks for comment though =]
While this map is by no means perfect, it looks to have a fantastic layout and some very nice structures. Things I think could be improved: The area where the red light is; the four stone pillars with wooden planks on them. This looks like you have just thrown some items together. Try to come up with a more aesthetic or practical structure. The grav lift area. This is probably my favourite area of the map, but I think it would look a lot better if you used a mancannon and merged it into the floor, instead of having random grav lifts. Overall, good map and has potential to be great. Reminds me somewhat of Damnation.
Wait, this is pretty much the map that you requested me to post. I can't download and play it to see the changes you made, but why didn't you tell me that you had something up? Hmmm....Oh well. I'm be around off xbox live for one more week so just have fun.
I like some of the geometry you have going on, and it looks real nice how you've meshed the wood bridges in with the stone. The structures are varied and multi-dimensional enough to offer pretty good replayability. But I do have one major qualm with the map. The lack of ledges around the entire map. Its far too easy to fall off in the heat of the battle. You don't need them on every single section, but high traffic areas, and places where players are more likely to strafe back and forth blindly would benefit greatly from them. The small wedge seen on top of the wall in teh last pic you showed doesn't make much sense to me, either, but the ledges are the main thing that could use some tweaking. How much budget do you have left?
Lol there was a bump there. The wedge does help u up, even though it is off place. The v2 of this is called omnis and is better. Thanks for replying
