The path going downwards seems to be too clean. The regular path has dirt on it and such, try making the other one look the same.

Trying to create a 3d road thing?

Well It seems that as the road is going downwards, the width of the road is shrinking gradually. Try to keep it the same width. The shadow on the road going downwards seems to be off.

Actually, the lighting is way off.

Like Frag said, the lighting is off, but the main issue here would be the sidewalk. Right now, the edges are too sharp and clean. Also, there seems to be streaks of light and shadow across it, when the sidewalk should be in shadow there. Try sampling some sidewalk textures from various sources that have consistent lighting for starters.

Yeah. Im trying to make it so it appears the road drops off or something. I saw something like this but way better and i was inspired. When i kept the road straight, the perspective was off and it didnt look like it was going downwards.

    yup. youre right.

kay. yeah it is kinda splotchy. ill try and make it more consistent.

i dont think ill get anything even remotely close to what i was aiming for overall.

You should try seamless textures, if you aren't already.

Awesome idea, although it looks bad at first glance, it looks pretty convincing after a while, if you exclude the sidewalk itself that is.

Whithout repeating everything that's been said about the sidewalk, it needs to like more sidewalky. See, it was more of a summary.

    But wow it's cool!
