    Quincunx: An arrangement of five objects with one at each corner of a rectangle and one at the center.

    Quincunx is a large asymmetrical foundry map perfect for big parties. The central area is separated from the surrounding circular vehicle track by shield doors. Though it is difficult, it is possible for vehicles to scale the upper levels. Quincunx has three levels that interconnect creating chaotic gameplay. Watch your back, above, and below!​

    I can still remember creating the original version of this map. It was a week after a had bought Halo 3 and I was just learning how to forge. Though the original map was very sloppy but the gameplay was perfect, and it soon became a classic amongst my friends.

    Just two weeks ago, I had an idea. What if I could take the old map and bring it into modern times, I did it. I wanted the map to retain all the great gameplay from the original that I had enjoyed but I wanted it to be much improved. After over 35 hours of work, I have achieved success!​

    Every single immovable object on this map is interlocked or geomerged. This merging allowed me to create some creative and never before seen (except ladder) architecture including but not limited to​

    I like the look of it in total, but not feature worthy. good geomerging and interlocking but from what I can tell from the pics it looks pretty open. But looks grat 4.5/5

    Amazing. Truly amazing. To turn Foundry, a middle to small sized map, into a new type of rats nest is amazing. The interlocking is amazing though that doesn't make a map. I guess I really can't say it is amazing because I am yet to download but I will download. Their does seem to be a lot of power weapons for foundry but I guess since their is so many vehicles you need a lot of power weapons. You definitely have a download from me and I look forward to playing many games on this.

    I really like all of the map. The merging is great and clean and the interlocking also, but I have question what is the tilted box for?

    I'm assuming most of his "creative and never before seen merging" was just for aesthetic awesomeness.

    The map is not very open at all. Feel free to have a forgethrough.

    Thank's for the complements. I hope you enjoy the map. Tell me if you found there to be too many power weapons. Power weapons weren't a problem in the games I played.

    A deployable grav lift spawns at the base of the tilted box. If you throw the grav lift at the foot of the tilted box it will take you to the top. At the top of the tilted box is a geomerged active camo.

    you're wrong HLG BillEatsYams =(. I love yams though! EDIT: I just had another yam today and it was so good! Have you ever put a yam in a microwave for 4 minutes, then taken it out and put butter on. Soooo good =)

    Only the stairrow and the christmas box were made for aesthetics, everything else has a purpose.

    To be quite honest, It looks as though most of your geoerging in the walls
    was completly accidental and has no point. Besides that, the map looks rather
    good. I little sloppy but who cares? It looks a little open, and once you get to an
    upper level you can just dominate. Not really fair. Ill give it a forgethrough and
    tell you more. So far 3/5

    hey I downloaded this mapp as well and I have to say,this map is great and very fun. The interlocks are top notch and its so smooth. I lov how it has certain objects in it which are awesome,like the 2 way tunnel and the elevator. This map is vvery fun to play with large or small groups of people

    The map has no real flow, it just seems like allot of random structures thrown onto one canvas; also some parts of the map are pretty open, where as other parts are relatively confined, or provide more cover, which can screw with the gameplay. Also for a map with vehicles in, i wouldn't advise putting so many shield doors on the ground floor area. And as some one else mentioned i feel the map could be a little overpowering with a sword and a laser. Hopefully ill be getting a party together for a game or two on this map tomorrow, so expect some more feedback. Oh, and BTW your download link doesn't work, it just links back to the thread.

    This map is NOT open. People keep repeating that but it really isn't open at all. The shield doors are meant to keep vehicles out of the central area. The vehicles are supposed to stay on the surrounding circular vehicle track. I could get rid of the shield doors but then vehicles would have access to the entire map, making them overpowered.

    The maps layout is basically three central towers with a surrounding vehicle track. On each of the three towers is a power weapon. There is no cover on the high parts of the map so it makes these weapons difficult to get.

    This map has the strangest structures ive ever seen but the gameplay looks really good. I would be alot better with slightly less power weapons.4.8/5

    This map is great for team slayer. If there were less power weapons the vehicles would be overpowered.

    From what I can see it plays like a much larger map than it is, and the interlocking is great, but one question. Why is there a lot of unnececery Geo merging? I know it makes the map look cool but...

    This was my first geomerged map so I was just learning and experimenting with geomerging. A good amount of the geomerging has a purpose as you will discover while playing =)

    well i like the parts where the map became test subjects, but doesn't really call for feature worthy, some of the tests like the tilted box isn't needed and probably unused. i would suggest creating gameplay houses or sub bases.

    Thanks for the feedback... The tilted box is actually very usefull, because the invis is at the top of it. The other tilted box is also usefull because it contains a mancannon that launches u to the upper levels. I like the idea of more extensive bases, I will built bigger bases when I make the next version of this map.

    Everything on the map seems random, almost as if you were just having fun geomerging random things when you though, hey I'll turn this into a map. I'm sorry but that's just the way I feel about it. 3/5

    I would have to say its a little open maybe add some cover but as far the interlocking goes it looks amazing.

    if u had read the post this is actually map that was built and planned out over a year ago, it was not created randomly. I just did things like replacing a double box with a invis on top with a double slanted box that is geomerged into the wall with an invis on top. I also replaced a man cannon on the ground with a mancannon concealed inside a slanted geomerged box. These improvements are not random! Also, this map is not Hardly open at all. It is even a little cramped for the vehicles.
