YouTube - My Intro What do you think? If it seems like bad quality thats the thing I was going for lol. Im going to start off with some comedies (most likely not a series just quick-bit comedies, almost like something youd see on Robot Chicken if you know the show.) but once I have a stable fan-base I'll start to attempt some more serious Machinima. I already have a pretty good idea/plot for a serious Machinima which I'll definately need body actors for, so if your interested, keep your eyes open. EDIT: The song is Freak on a leash by KoRn.
Pretty cool, the music though... Korn is cool and all... But attempting something mroe on the comedian side... Id check out Newgrounds Audio portal for some mic tracks that are fun and enjoyable to listen too first.
im gonna put the biohazard part at the end credits (without the presents part of course lol) because after presents ill put the title of whatever the machinima is named. thanks for the input though. EDIT: But I like KoRn..... . Ill see if i can find a more fitting track and change it to that.
Well the music does fit it, but if you did do a comedy style machinima, i'd avoid that. But if you did do more serious hard core killtage films, go for it.
Ha why would you automatically associote KoRn with killtage? *sarcasm* But anyways, anyone have any suggestion as to what to use?
Well what kind of music do you want to go into it? I would think as a random comedy (Robot Chicken) you would soemthing with no words... But it also be up lifting... Hmmm... Maybe the ebggining of this Song Somewhere in this? This sounds really cool Just some suggestions, maybe even a Halo theme guitar version? I'll find you one if you need. EDIT: I got it anyway, Listen at 1:20+
I dont really care for the first or second, however the beggining of the third sounds pretty cool. The Halo guitar theme is a little.....meh..... but I really dont think the beggining of the KoRn song sounds like it would open into some sort of bloody death scene lol. Ill go into Movie Maker and see what I can do with the other two.
I like how the music coexists with the actual visual intro. I do think that if you made it sharper, it'd be a lot more appealing, despite what you were going for. I'd also get rid of the border fades: they give a bit too much dimension to it. Otherwise, great job! I'm looking forward to the actual machinima.
I wish I could sharpen it and get the border fades away too, but I made this in after effects (with the 30 day trial), and I prefer Movie Maker due to the simplicity and quick learning curve, so I converted the file and this happened, so I stuck with it. As for the Machinima I have everything I need for my first video, I just need to renew Bungie Pro so I can get Bungie Pro Video. The second vid only needs one more scene done, because I did it by myself and had to control two people, so one of my scenes needs to be redone.
I'd cut the "presents" but other than that thats a pretty good intro. Good for a first try too, although, I'm assuming this is your first? There's your problem. Never, in any circumstance, use Windows Movie Maker. I'm dead serious. If you're serious about making machinima you could get Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas, or even the more practical option of Pinnacle Studio, which comes free with a Dazzle Capture Card.
Pinnacle Studio no longer comes free of charge with the Dazzle Card. If you're serious about machinima movie making, I greatly recommend Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects, or Final Cut Pro. They're pricey, but from what I've heard (and a little experience) they're well worth the bill.
Boom na da mmm dum na ema Da boom na da mmm dum na ema Wow, I foudn lyrics to that part... KoRn aside, it's a good intro. As has been said before, keep it dynamic. It's quick, whihc is a plus since nobody is watching for a 30 second intro.
