Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how to build a door mechanism on Sandbox. Basically I have hidden some hornets and I want the only way to get to them is if someone knows how to open it. It needs to be a fairly large door as well. Thanks
There are a number of ways of making doors. I find the broken column and grav lift one the most effective. This is a rough example: Front view: Above View Make sure the top is blocked off so the column doesn't fly out. Have a grav lift pick up somewhere near the door so that the player can activate it. Heres what it ends up like:
The thing though is that the hornet wont fit through that. I was kind of hoping of making a bridge like thing that can just go up and down so it opens from the top and you take the hornet out that way
Bridges are not movable so you couldn't do that, I guess is you were to use the above method but have lots of damaged collums stacked side by side like this: l = collum llll Then you could have a few gravlifts on top which will lift them all out of the way.
