Foundry - Arena Okay, well this is my map, i think this one is actually okay. Its pretty simple. This map looks extemely sloppy. You might want to try fixing the walls around the perimeter a bit to make it look a little nicer. This map looks extemely easy to escape from. Try making the walls taller. I honestly don't like this map, but others may like it. good job 2/5
Yeah man, this map is pretty simple. Like what TyIsSOFLY said, it looks like a map some 10-year old made when he just bought Halo 3, and no offense, but that's really true. If you want your map to be successful, you need to have something that catches people's eyes in the map, such as the conveyor belt in Pallet Parade. It doesn't have to be as complex as a conveyor, but just something that sticks out and makes it different from all the other maps on ForgeHub. Also, if you're on Foundry, you need to interlock. On Sandbox, its good to interlock, but you don't need to. On Foundry, you need to. The scenery on Foundry is rounded and without interlocking, it just doesn't look good. Nice try, but you need to try harder.
Sry dude, but this map is not... um well.... good. Its is eaily escapable. There is no interlocking. The crates are not even turned upside down(smoother surface and pleasing to the eye). Plus from what i can see, the weapons sets are not designed for the best gameplay. Is that a tripmine??? Please clean this up. This map has some potentialto be a good 2v2 or free for all. Just do what i told ya...
You could get out of this map with a single grenade jump! Really, it doesn't look like you've put much effort into this. At least build up the walks to make it unbreakable. Also, make a more original name that "arena" 1/5
You are beginning to get the hang of it a little bit. This is the best map I have seen you post thus far and it looks like you are getting a better understanding of what is expected and needs to be done. I still highly recommend you go see Forging 101 if you haven't already it will teach you a lot about how to do your best forging. Keep trying you'll get there.
It looks very basic and there's not much special about it. And is there any way of getting back over the walls into the arena because it looks like it's easy to escape. You definitely need to look at the forging 101s to learn some more advanced forging techniques to make your maps look and feel better.
Honestly, this is a very bad map. Check out the tutorials that are made for new forgers. If you still need help, I am always willing to help out someone new to the community. If you want, add me onto Xbox Live and I can give you a few tips.
Hmm... Do you not notice you are SUPPOSE to escape? did you download the map? There is a hidden teleporter to grab a flamethrower on the top of the highest claw. I think this is the best of my work, but its not good. And im not much older then a 10 year old, im barely 13, and really, i dont think people older then 18 should be playing video games seriously, never mind spending days on a forge map...
First off thats spam, and your flaming him. Hes obviously posting on forgehub to get better. If I were you, I would either delete or edit that post. Just a heads up . Anyway back to the map. It looks like it could have some potential if you make it a little larger, and as said earlier, it is very easily escapable. Visit the forging 101 section for some tips to help your forging. Well im making a V2, its going to be a little larger, but not too much larger because its supposed to be a CQB map. Id be able to use some help, however i already have someone to help me, and i dont have a headset, i snapped mine and the wire, well my friend did...
He meant that you could escape the map over the walls surrounding it, just by grenade jumping, not grenade jumping up to the claw.
I know, your supposed to grenade jump over the wall, to get to a teleporter to take you up to the claw, to get the flamethrower... It is the same in the ArenaV2 im working on now.
