Map Title: Ragnarok Mid-level sandbox map built for both symmetrical and asymmetrical games. supports all gametypes except Juggernaut, Infection, and VIP. Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details <---Download Description: Ragnarok is my first completed map and also my first post. I built this map with 2 things in mind: fun and vehicles...I made this map primarily for me and a few friends to have fun, fast-paced matches on. But since it has never been played on with more than 4 people(all i could get together) i am eager to get feedback from the forgehub community about how it plays with bigger teams. Anyway...on with the pictures! Weapon/Vehicle list Battle rifle x6 Assault rifle x2 Carbine x2 Brute shot x2 Sniper rifle x2 Needler x2 Laser x1 Rocket launcher x1 Shotgun x2 Machine gun turret x2 Warthog x2 Chopper x2 Mongoose x2 Update: moved a few grenades and equipment around to new locations, deleted the sentinel beams and fuel rod cannons, added more spawn points, moved the shotgun, turned all fusion coils to sit vertically, and changed up the spawn point for neutral bomb and oddball a bit. Map Overview Red Base Blue Base Rocket spawn/Middle temple Sniper tower, same on other side Laser spawn/oddball/neutral bomb(courtesy of GunFuCleric) Bunker to Hallway Inside 1 of the bases Flag spawn and return point well i hope you all enjoy this map and don't forget to give feedback!
the bases look cool but the middle caught my eye. i think you should stand the fusion coils up instead of them sitting down. maybe you should change up the laser spawn a little bit. also change the sniper towers up because that is way to simple. i mean its a lift with a platform. fix that up and i doenload.
Wow... I thinks thats all i can say, but since this is a review I'll say more , First things I can't believ this is you first completed map but although is isnt perfect you have demonstrated true skill when it comes to forge with this map. You obviously have a natural talent for forging and i know that your name will be one of the names people will know about when it comes to good maps. Now on to the map itself. Them map itself looks slightly basic withought much cover but since this is a vehicle map it's not that bad a thing, as for the forging it is all very neat and you have made use of interlocking successfully. For a version two i suggest focusing away from vehicles and more for mid-long ranged combat, also i suggest changing the weapon spawns slighty so that there are less power weapons. Originality: 2/5 Gameplay: 3/5 Aesthetics: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 As a final note i just want to welcome you to forgehub and the forging community
wow...thank you all for the feedback, i'm glad you guys took interest in my map and took the time to comment on it. i will agree that it is pretty basic in design and that's the price i payed when i ran into a hidden object limit that i had no idea existed lol. The sniper towers were more of an experiment than a planned out feature of the map, in fact most of the map was just built piece by piece with no planning whatsoever and thats a lesson i will take with me to future maps.
I completely agree with this. Naner will be a name to remember. This guy would rather forge then play the matchmaking with me . Haha... I've had to hound him to post this map so give some love guys so he will continue posting his work. And thanks so far for your downloads and feedback keep it coming!
mmm. might wanna change the sniper tower to make it play better...ull wanna keep the same amount of power weapons becuz its a big map with vehicles. u get the idea of a nice interlocked map with even power weapon placing.. left some open space for the vehicles. u get the idea and concept of forging. 4/5
Ya, you gotta be kidding me! This is your first map completed? Its awsome. I can't wait to see what you're going to produce in the future. You def. need to get this tested with more than four people. Its sometimes tough to get enough players together (often tough), but get this posted in the testers guild here on forgehub. Post a few pics, set up a time and send me out an invite!
