Warthog Race Made by- Alph4 Sn1p3r Map- Rats Nest Download- Click Me!!!!! Gametype- Click Me!!!!! Description- This is a Warthog race on the map Rats Nest and is my very first track that I have ever made and its also my first map too. The track has a total of four jumps in it and includes a total of 8 warthogs for EXTREME racing. There is a fusion coil straightaway so when you have the rockets in the gametype you can have a little extra fun at knocking the other racers off the track. Pictures- The man cannon that shoots out items at you so it gives the track more of a challenge... The fusion coil straightaway that can blow up if you shoot it or run into it. First of all I like this for a first map. It's a great idea, But remove the fusion coils please. They give the look of noob-ness if there all in one spot. And this probobly doesn't effect the racing itself, but try to geo merge and interlock. This is just one example, try inter locking the boxes to give it a more clean feel. And geo merging and interlocking the bridges gets rid of any bumps the drivers hit. Overall I like the origanality, not many people make warthog race tracks, but I feel it was exucuted poorly. 4/10
I'm not trying to sound mean but I think that making a race map on Rats Nest is slightly pointless because it is already a race track to begin with. Try to make a warthog race on a map like Sandbox or Avalanche =] It would add better scenery and much more that just going around a big loop.
okay guys please dont criticize him way to much it was his first map and his first attempt a forge... If you wouldve read the description you woulda seen that but dont get mean soundin about little things like scenery cause im sure your first maps scenery wasnt very great either... Anyways e nice cause I was at his house when he made it and he had a fun time making it.
If you're his friend your obviously going to back him up, and dnt complain about people giving him tips. They where helping, not insulting Anyway i think that its an idea that has been attempted (not successfully) many times before and it needs alot of experience with forge to be done well, but for a first try its alright and i look forward to an awesome warthog racetrack on sandbox.
Yes, for a first map i think you did very well considering how things go with some people: Attempt and quit. Like Prodigious 7k said, i also am looking forawrd to something great on sandbox. All in all, for your first map, good job.
Yeah take it easy on the guy, he may not even know how to merge/geomerge, so don't force that on him. Personally, for a first map point of view, if this were made soon after halo 3 came out it would have been really freakin popular. Sadly, those times are over, and an abundance of skilled forgers have raised the bar quite high for everyone else. All in all, to rate accordingly, I'd give this map an 8/10 Overall, and 9/10 for the Fun factor and Playability. You seemed to really think this map through, although I don't know how long you've been forging but since this is your first map post, and map, I am impressed with your work. AND you even made a gametype, nice! Keep forging!
Quite good for a first attempt, lots of good ideas and showing promise. I have to agree with the others, Rat's Nest tracks are rarely original or a lot of fun, since it's the same basic track. However, the ramps and obstacles add a personal touch, and warthog racetracks are generally quite fun. 3/5 for a first attempt.
