Divided is a small MLG capture the flag map, built in Sandbox. Coupled with MLG multiflag, or it's custom Game Variant "True Flag", Divided is sure to impress, as well as entertain.

Divided started off as me introducing my friend and long time Halo Player Bricks31 to the wonders of Forge. Since we're both a fan of MLG we decided to put our thumbs to work. The first version of Divided was built on Foundry and took us two nights to build. After hours of testing, featuring dozens 1v1's - 4v4 games it was complete. And while generally the feedback was positive, there was the occasional "That jump is too hard.." sort of comment. But with Bricks having gone back to his home city and a conflicting NAT problem. I took the reconstruction of Divided into my own hands.

Instinctually, I went to Sandbox. After some thought, I decided to scale the map down, make it play smoother for 2v2 ctf games. (Though it works fine with 4v4's) This reconstruction took me a mere 3 hours, start to finish. Then the testing began. I played at least a dozen games and fixed all the complaints. (Most of them anyway, I had originally had Juicy and Gloomy filters one which looks great, but some seem to dislike it, and so they've been removed.) I recreated a few jumps that appeared in the foundry version, while making them easier to promote a quicker paced gameplay.

And with my introductory wall of text out of the way, I present you with...

    Divided

good map, nice idea for the lower part of sandbox part to make an mlg map, i like the flag spawns and by the way is the map breakable, it looks possible to get out of.

Cool ideas with the columns and such, but did you say you spent 3 hours? Hmmm that won't cut it... The map looks like it would play okay. Wjlhat did you say the feedback was from the playtesters? Positive? Negative? It looks okay, there isn't too much originality or anything, which is what MLG maps desperately need. Hmm. 3/5, keep forging, give the community something fresher.

    EDIT: 4/5

Without downloading I'm not sure how any one can make those specific observations.
This rendition of the map only took me three hours because I had already built it several times on foundry. I knew exactly what I was doing from the start. Feedback from players was positive. From all those who finished a game I never received any complaints. Only a few suggestions which I took and used to fix the map. As for the map being breakable, I suppose it may be possible to escape but the for all who have tried, none have succeeded. Also, with this being a capture the flag map, spending several minutes attempting to escape would earn you a loss. Now as for originality. Aesthetically it is original, but I agree as far as layout goes it does adhere to the guidelines the greats have set. i.e Onslaught/Amplified. Though, at the same time it plays very differently. And does not mimic any map in specific. Immediately it's angular form sets it apart.

But, trust me, I am going to be forging quite a bit. And I am determined to break the mold. So, thanks for all the comments. I look forward to see more, from those you play it.
