    Prologue

As of today 7/4/09, I am dedicating the rest of my maps to recent game I have created called Command
    .

Command is a Single VIP variant game that can be a lot of fun as well as game that requires strategy and coordination. Your probably thinking I am trying to copy off "Conquest" in a way however I am not although no game is completely different or completely similar.

In this thread I will list some specifications and very useful tips to help you get around in "Command" as well as a default map for the game I have created but we will see that later. Part of the reason I do this is to see what people think of this game and if it will affect ForgeHub in making it better. Now that I have talked about what is going on, Ill get to the gametype & map.

    Command

As I have explained in the upper half, Command is a game of strategy and planning. What makes the game so different? Lets find out:
*Note-Anything not brung up in settings is unchanged.
    VIP & General Settings:
    *4 Rounds
    *1 VIP
    *Each round 15 Min.
    *1 Go-To Point
    *Respawn Time-3 Sec
*Betrayal & Suicide Respawn Time-5 Sec
    *No Team Change
*Scoring- +1 if Reach Go-To Point (Ends Round), -1 if Betray VIP
    *Friendly Fire-On
    *VIP Death Ends Round
    *Unlimited Lives
    *Death Synchronize With Team
    *Indestructible Vehicles

Weapons, Vehicles, Equipment & Player Settings
    Base Player Traits:
    *Primary Weapon-SMG
    *Secondary Weapon-Battle Rifle
    *Damage Rate-75%
    (*VIP Team Forced Color-White)
    VIP Traits
    *2000% Shields + X2 Overshields
    *Primary Weapon-Magnum
    *Secondary Weapon-None
    *No Shield Recharge
    *Immune to Headshots
    *10% Shield Leech
    *No Grenades
    *Forced Color-Black
    *Vehicle Passenger Only
    *No Weapon Pickup
    *No Radar
    Custom Power Up Traits
    *Effect lasts 5 Sec.
    *Damage Rate-300%
    *75% Gravity
    *150% Speed
    *Forced Color-Blue
Those are the settings for the gametype. Now lets look at Command even deeper seeing what are usable weapons, equipment & vehicles:
    Allowed Weapons,Vehicles & Equipment
    *Mauler
    *Battle Rifle
    *Assault Rifle
    *Sniper Rifle/Beam Rifle
    *Brute Shot
    *Spiker
    *Magnum
    *SMG
    *Plasma Pistol
    *Covenant Carbine
    *Deployable Cover
    *Frag Grenade
    *Plasma Grenade
    *Mongoose
    *Warthog (Regular Not Gauss)
It took me numerous amounts of testing and editing but It brought me down to these items that make the game work well and become playable.

For the final lesson in "Command" I will help list and explain game through the default map.
    CA:Towers
CA meaning Command with the first 2 syllables of the word.
Ca:Towers illustrates multiple towers throughout Avalanche andputs in perfect gameplay for Command. At least one of all of the weapons, vehicles and equipment items are placed on the map so that will take care of me listing what is on the map. Now that I have a description down, lets take a look at the pictures in which ill write how the game works under them. Told in a Story/Analogy Format.

If you are the VIP and it's team, You will start in this room in which the mancannon above is blocked off and nothing is placed inside.

The VIP in all his glory.

The VIP team starting half. 2 Warthogs are placed to ensure a speedy pursuit to the Goal Point.
Now you enter the Heat Zone, otherwise known as the zone where most action occurs and more strategy is used. Making your way up to one of the towers could benefit your team, However, you do enter a tower at random.

You make your way to the Bunker in which the teleporter is located.

The non VIP team is quickly trying to pursue you from there spawn bunker and take you down. Defending your VIP and getting him to the goal is your only objective. You must not fail.

Stepping through the Teleporter, you arrive at the Plasma Pistol Tower. Not what you wanted.

After going through the Teleporter again, you arrive at the Carbine tower. Still not what you were looking for. (Note Regenerator No Longer Exists)

Next is the Brute Shot Tower. Still not what you wanted. (Note Bubble Shield No Longer Exists)

Next you arrive at the Beam Rifle Tower. Maybe youll get lucky next time.

Finally the Sniper Tower. Highest tower on the map. (Note Deployable Cover Moved)

After pushing through the Heatzone, One of your team members grabs the Custom Power Up
    [IMG]
After all your hard work and determination though, you finally reach the Go-To Point
    [IMG]

Well this is Command. If someone would be generous enough to provide information of how I could make a thread for a very detailed description, that would be appreciated. Here are the download links and I hope people like the game and maybe take it into consideration of continuing the chain.

*Please note, Bungie description on Bungie.net will be edited in short amount of time.

I'm kind of confused, maybe I just missed something. You never mentioned where the VIP is supposed to go. Is it on one the towers? Anyways, the gametype looks original and the forging is pretty good, although you didn't really forge all that much.

Wow. It sounds pretty hard to kill the VIP. Especially if they grab the custom powerup. Have you tested it yet to see if that's an issue? Also, is the map overpowering for either team? Overall, it looks like an original idea, and if you could easily convert maps to make them playable for the gametype, that would make it a lot better. So far, 4.2/5

I have tested the the game and the custom power up is basically the key component to killing the VIP. This map is a default map so I am just trying to prove a point. My next map coming out is going to be a real Command map but I see your points.

Have you thought about giving the VIP influential traits? If the VIP team is getting too far away from the VIP you can add something like a regenerator effect to those in proximity to enforce teamwork.

I looked in those and it came across my mind but even a regenerator in general made the whole game incredibly more difficult then it needed to be so good opinion, may add something in the but not sure yet.
