Besides buying minutes to render your films on bungie is there any way to get more?

I had 5 free minutes when I got on but I'm not sure how I got them. Maybe everyone has 5 free mins.

You start out every month with 5 brand new minutes! Minutes do not roll over though, so for example, if you have 3 minutes in January and it comes to February, you have 5.

does anybody else think that Bungie's system for video render is abolutely horrible (the point system).

Yes, I hate it. But what are you going to do? I want to be able to keep these 5 points I have at the moment until my map is finished. And by the time my map is finished, acoording to Bungie, my points are going to be taken away. So I just don't get it... Most people will want to make videos about 3-5 minutes long, right? So that would cost 3-5 points for a non-HD video. But it would cost 15-25 points for an HD video. We all know the quality of the non-HD videos are trash, but if Bungie is giving us 5 minutes a month and they do not rollover, how the hell are we supposed to make the 3-5 minute long HD video!!??? As an example as to what the Bungie Render to Video thing can do, Bungie showed us 3 gameplay videos of 3 different maps. Each video was roughly 3:30 long and HD. So Bungie is showing us an example of something we are unable to do? I don't like this one bit...

Well, it doesn't cost us anything, so bungie can do what they want to. I wouldn't base my machinima around the renderer, it's more for just small clips that you want to share individualy I think. Other places can do what bungie is doing for free, but no one would pay for it if it costed anything; in bungies case, people will pay, so they will make it cost something.

Yeah, but be glad it's free. It may not be a cap card, but at least you have something to film with.

Yah, it is useful for the short "hey look at this" type vids, but they should have at least done some sort of rollover minutes system. You already have to pay for bungie pro to use it.

What would be nice is if bungie had some system set up with youtube, so they didnt have the server problem they claim to be worried about.

    I don't, as i have a cap card :p

But it is a good thing they don't roll over or my account would have about 15 mins now. And people would create dormant accounts just to gain minutes.
