    EPILEPSY
"Welcome to the rave; dance till you drop."

My first Forge Hub map post!

Epilepsy is one of my first forges and although it is fairly simple, being pre-DLC and all, I believe the changes made significantly imrpove the competitive gameplay of Epitah and allow it to become a team based map, instead of the hectic FFA map the original is.

Despite the "flaws" of the original, there has always been something about Epitah that interested me and so when Epilogue was released, I decided to try and improve it so it could be seen as at least playable by the more competitive community.

    Weapons:
    BR x 4
    Carbine x 6
    Mauler x 1
    Sniper x 1

    Spawns:
To improve competitive gameplay, I changed the startings spawns so that they are facing each other. Both teams now have a perfectly equal chance of getting to Gold lift then to Sniper and to Mauler.

"Dark Side" team starting spawn (2 BRs here, 1 lower and 1 upper)

    "Gold" spawn (2 Carbines here)

    Tactical Jumps:
Dark Side lower ramp to upper BR (1 Carbine can be seen here on Ramp)

Dark side lower manhole to upper manhole

Light Side lower ramp to upper BR (1 Carbine can be seen here on Ramp)

Light Side lookout to upper BR/upper lookout

    Power Weapons:
    Mauler

    Setting up on Epilepsy:
While I am the first to admit that I don't entirely know what I'm doing when it comes to spawns, I have tried to make it so that you can get a team set up going and spawn camp to some degree.

As you can see in the spawns pictures, there are 4 main groups of spawn points, one at each of the 4 points of the map. Also, all of these main spawn points are located on the ground floor so that your team has to work to gain the higher ground and map control as a result.

The best set up I can recommend for this map is to have one person on Sniper platform with Sniper with his team mates covering him from the surrounding ledges and collums. This allows the sniper to watch all 4 main spawn points and if he does miss the enemy spawn, hopefully his team mates will be watching his back for assaults from Gold lift and Upper BR spawns.

MLG Epilepsy is set up for Slayer and Oddball. I recommend MLG ball as the map is almost perfect for it with so many tactical jumps. Enjoy

Not very original, you just added barriers. and also you can allready make all of those jumps you added if you have grenades, a brute shot (on epilogue) or a hammer (on epitaph), and the last jump can be made by edge ghosting with very little effort. Even in matchmaking.

I know this isn't a groundbreaking map or anything, I just thought I would try to give Epitah some more play time and I believe with these severely modified spawns and weapon placements that this is the map to do it.

I did actually try merging and geomerging some objects but I found it far too difficult.

Despite the the fact that you obviously have not constructed your own map from scratch, I love forges on pre-dlc maps because you rarely see them anymore.

I downloaded this and tried it out; you have definitly made some significant changes to the original gameplay of Epitah. The starting spawns are FAR more equal. Even though by design it is not the best map for competitive gameplay, you have dramatically improved it and I would certainly recommend it.

When you post a reply to a map try to give some constructive criticism. Anyway your map looks okay. I would add some more things to it and, even though its supposed to be an MLG map it looks more like a competitive map. You set up your post right so, 7/10. Just add some things or try a different map. =)

I love how every one is slamming the map although they have no intelegent imput and I Will bet money that NONE OF THEM played it. What about MLG pit or MLG Gaurdian of MLG construct or MLG Narrows. None of those maps were forged but they still kick ass. Why don't you think a little before you post. Looks like a very good map although some of the spawns are questionable. NIce job.

Ummmm..... interesting. I actually forged Epitaph myself and I'd like you to check it out. I think the extra jumps your trying to input are not necessary mainly because there are ledges you can use to get up. I think I might post my version of it on the forums but then again I might not because people will give me so much crap about it. Mssg me if your interested in seeing what I did with the map, and maybe I can help you with yours. :)
