Fortify Created by yyx168 This is my first ever real map and my first post too so if I have done anything wrong please correct me. Its a map with a "Fortress" on one side as the defenders base and the blue team has 3 outposts. Gametypes: Slayer, Assault, Territories, KOTH, CTF Players: 4-10 Weapon/Equipment List 6 Battle Rifles 10 sec spawn 2 clips 2 Needlers 90sec spawn 2 clips 2 Bruteshots 60 sec spawn 2 clips 4 Spikers 60 sec spawn 2 clips 2 Snipers 120 sec spawn 1 clip 1 Shotgun 120 sec spawn 1 clip 8 Plasma Grenade 60 sec spawn 8 Spike Grenade 60 sec spawn 6 Frag Grenade 60 sec spawn 2 Regenerator 120 sec spawn 2 Power Drain 120 sec spawn 2 Bubble Shield 120 sec spawn 1 Overshield 180 sec spawn 1 Active Camo 180 sec spawn Here are the pics=) Note*I have changed some of the weapon layout since the pictures were taken* Overview 1 Overview 2 Red Base (It has 4 entrances) 1 at the front, 2 on both sides and 1 "underground". Red Base Level 1 Blue Outpost (Side) Its the same on the other side The teleporter brings you to the other outpost on the other side. The mancannon brings you to the center outpost. Blue Outpost (Center) This is the main one where the flag,bomb spawns. You have to walk to get back to the other 2 outposts. The structure in front of the middle blue post. The shotgun spawns inside that Y-intersection. The entrance to the tunnel shoots you to the Red Base it also shows some side structures. The Overshield spawn. The other side is the same just with an active camo. Also shows the side entrance to the Red Base. Alright... I'm gonna call it how I see it. Forgive me if any of the following seems like i'm just being rude but I think this map has potential. It just missing a few key things, and is really sloppy. So Im gonna give it a 2.5/5. 1. When I first started I didn't think you had merged anything.(which is fine)But upon closer inspection I noticed you had merged some things, which shows you know how and are willing to do it. While walking around I found myself bouncing and getting caught on things way to much. This is an extreme problem being that so much of your map doesn't have railings. It was mercelecly easy to fall off the map, just walking around. TAKE THE TIME, and merge the rest of the floors and walkways it will give your map a clean and proffesional look. On top of that we won't be killing ourselves welst walking around. 2.The man cannons at either blue tower that are suppose to shoot you to mid Blue deffinetly haven't worked once for me 10/10 times I fell to my death for being over or under shot. 3. The man cannon tunnel. Love the Idea might use it myself with your permission. But it doesnt serve a purpose. All there is is a couple of plasma nades down there. and the place where you come in and go out is like a 3 second walk. I understand it's so you might escape people guarding the door to red, but where it goes in and where it comes out are both at a disadvantage to red sniper. In short it really would never be worth taking. 4. The sniper in Red base is way to conviently placed. The top of Red base comfortably looks over the entire map, and would deffinetly be rediculous in the right hands. On a good note, I do like how blue also has a sniper to counter this. 5. Red base is about 8 seconds closer to both the overshield and the active camo. Which I see as a huge problem. Obvious reasons. Now on to the good things: Weapons over all are well placed, except red Snipe. I do like the overall layout! The ramps with roofs by overshield and active Camo are sweet. And I could definetly see a good game of KOTH play out on this map. Finally... Fix some things and this map could be pretty great. I'm sure other Forgehubbers will share there oppinions with you too. good luck and good job on your first post and map! Keep at it!
I think you have too many grenades and you should only ever stick to two types so maybe you should remove the spike or plasma grenades.
