In the trailer you posted its funny because that kids talking to some guy on the screen. I can imagine one of my no-life friends cussing him out and stuff. Itd be like "sup *****, lets fight" and the AI guy would be like "ok"

It looks a bit like the Wii, it looks good and will be fun for a short while, but will ultimately be rendered a fail later, because it will get boring, and you realize that it's better to sit on your ass with a controller.
Im guessing most of the games wont require you to stand up and do the required motions for long periods of time. Most likely the games will only be fun for 30-60 minute bursts whereas with a game like Halo iwhere you can stay immersed for hours is easier to just sit down. I like the look of the thing, but I dont like the yellow and purple LEDs, Im guessing, a good ol black would do fine. And the overall color probably wouldnt match your xbox, a white version would probably look better too.
Doesn't matter if it doesn't match your xbox, it goes on top of your nice shiny black flat-screen tv. Also, you shouldn't game for more than 30-45 minutes anyway so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for non-hardcore gamers. And I can't really see any hardcore games coming out of this.
idk, I dont like stuff on top of our tv. It just doesnt seem right. If Its in my room then thats okay. Like people come to our house, them- "wtf is that thing on your tv?" me- "Its our NATAL sensor" (natal pronounced nay-tul) them-"wtf?"
why? The camera isnt that expensive and is nothing compared to NATAL. I never bought the cam becuase i think its useless.
i love the webcam! thats how i talk to all my bfffffff's. It looks interesting, but i agree with rifte. It looks fun, but might be deemed horrible dtl. Its gunna be like the wii 9/10 Every wants one, plays one for the first week, then is completely over it.
i have a feeling this is gonna be a lot different than the wii. they're like bungie and wont show us **** till 6 or 7 months before the product comes out.
I've heard others comment about what Natal will be like once it is released. Something I've heard brought up is that Natal will most likely be integrated into games for a while, but it won't be the main way of playing said game. For example, if I was playing Halo 3 instead of pressing the left trigger to throw a grenade, maybe I'd be required to do a throwing motion with my arm to throw it. Most of the other actions would still require a controller, but Game Developers want to find a way to use Natal without turning off their core audience.
Yea but say in halo how would you choose your grenade or weapon, how would it notice you are shooting, how would you pick up aa weapon. I think that it will make some great mini games and stuff but it just doesnt have the potential for a full game, but maybe with the voice recognition thing it might be posssible for example say pick up or weapon swap i still think it might be a little complicated. This thing is goonna kick wii's ass.
You don't understand. I'm saying that you would still pick up weapons with RB, use Y to switch weapons, use RT to shoot. You would only have to do a little throwing motion to throw a grenade. Not everything in the game is controlled by motion, but some actions are.
It's just an example, and unless you're throwing grenades every 2-3 seconds, then no your arm would be fine.
Just curious, wonder what the real name for project Natal will be? Anyone got any ideas? They already have the Xbox Vision and the PS3 Eye they are pritty good. But a divice that has all those features in, what they gunna call it?
hmmm, my guess would have to be NATAL. Although, like you said they will probably change it. I honestly dont know, i believe it will be NATAL although.
I don't think they will keep Natal, it isn't very consumer friendly if you know what i mean. It doesn't tell you anything about the camera and if you only saw 'Natal' on its own you wouldn't know what it is.
