Map- Stellate Gametypes- Slayer, Capture the Flag, Oddball and Infection Number of players- 2-12 Description:This is a perfectally symmetrical map designed for slayer,CTF, oddball and infection varients. The map is centered around a middle structure containing a overshield floating in the middle. The map is 2 floors but the player can easily get from one floor to the other. The player starts out in a half oval shaped base which has to hallways leading to each floor. The top hallway leads up to the top floor but also has a side hallway which contains a rocket launcher. The bottom hallway is a tube hallway which contains a brute shot. The map also has a transport hornet which is designed for easier captures in CTF. The hornet goes not without problems though because each base contains a missile launcher and rocket launcher, although each rocket launcher is set at 120 sec with no extra clips. The weapons on the map include: * 6 BR x 10 sec * 2 Mauler x 60 sec * 2 Brute shot x 60 sec * 1 Rocket Launcher x 180 sec * 2 Spikers x 10 sec * 1 Overshield x 180 sec * 2 Regenerators x 120 sec * 2 SMG x 10 sec Bases Backstory:One day while i was messing around in forge i just started putting items together and eventually decided on a overall design. The map went through many different stages before i finally got it to where it is today. Overall the map took me about 12 hours(roughly) to make, most of that was brain storming. I wanted the map to be centered around slayer and CTF but also have a smaller less popular gametype included so it would not be limited to only 2 gametypes. The map in theory could work with VIP or Juggernaut but i did not put those gametypes on the map. If i get enough requests i will go back and put those in. As for the name stellate, i wanted a name that kind of described the map. Stellate is another name for symmetrical, for those of you wondering. Great CQC, Horrible map for hornets... Period Get rid of them and some of the teleporters, and this would be great for FFA and Team Oddball
I put them in there for CTF, they are only transport hornets to so they wouldnt be able to do much. i figured a team could use them as a last resort for getting the flag.
I dunno, its just too small, that would kind of make the game go by really fast. Im sticking to the non-hornet thing, sorry bro.
Its cool, i understand what your talking about, if i get enough complaints on the hornet ill go in and take it out and replace it with something. any ideas?
ya i do agree on the no hornet thing but anway the map looks really good looks like you did a good job forgeing it too well done a little small but good 4/5
"Yeah I agree. If your idea is CTF the hornets make a horrible idea. You could transport someone with the hornet from one side to the other in like 3 seconds..... Gotta get rid of those and the tele's and the map would make a lot more sense. When its small like that, keep it simple. I would have no vehicles or teleporters at all but that's just me. Dude, I love you map. The design and forging skill is really proffesional and neat. But, POWER WEAPON OVERLOAD WTF!?!?!?!?! What are you thinking, puting hornets on ANY map that isnt the size of the ENITRE sandbox middle floor? Are you special needs? jk/ its not that big of a deal. But, i would change the weapon layout. A lot.
Ok i went in and i changed a few things. 1. i got rid of the hornets. 2. I replaced the Rocket launchers at each base with a mauler. 3. instead of 2 rocket launcher i put only one in the middle with no clips and 180 respawn. 4. i took out the teleporters. 5. i replaced the 2 maulers in the middle with SMG's. If theres anything else please comment
