Hey, I've recently been playing Fang's Stadium where you play rounds and it's 1v1 while everyone else watches. Good BR practice. When someone out of 2 kills the other, the round ends and 2 new people start. I was wondering if there's anyway to forge this and combine it with a Juggernaut gametype where the winner stays on. So it'd work like this: Assuming six players P1 to P6. P1 and P2 start at the bottom of the arena. P3-P6 spawn in the look outs. P1 kills P2 *round ends* P1 now faces P3 P2 and P4-P6 watch P1 kills P3 *round ends* P1 now faces P4 Others Watch P4 Kills P1 *round ends* P4 faces P5 etc. I doesn't have to be in order but it'd better if the opponenet to face the winner hasn't played yet or has played less rounds than other opponents so that everyone gets a fair chance to kill the Winner(Juggernaut) ***Juggernaut would have no advantages and have the same traits as the player, it's just because the conecept of juggernaut means that whoever kills the winner is now the new winner. Any thoughts?
That actually sounds pretty fun. But how could you have one person in the arena at a time? Also it seems sort of unfair. If there isn't cover, the previous winner has a chance to position themselves while the next person will come out of one predictable place. If there is cover, the audience could give away the positions of either player. If you could, it would be cool if the next person in line couldn't see anything, but could jump down and choose where on a part of the stadium they would land. Hoped that helped, because you need to use your brain well to pull this off.
I don't know how it's done at the mo, people spawn in the lookouts and 2 people spawn in the arena, no idea how ( i can't see spawn points in the arena) Since it's rounds the 2 people fighting spawn in the same place, at the same time, add me, (GT Shreedhan) and I'll show you how it plays. Thanks for the comments
New rounds?!?!? Now how in the living heck are you gonna get that to work? Think of a new round sort of like a new game. It doesn't use most information from the previous round to help with the next round. That can only happen if the gametype lets you. For example, you can have the winner of a round in infection become the next zombie, but in slayer a new round is about the same as a new game. I'll just download the map you posted because I'm curious to see how they got the spawns to work.
I know it'll be complicated, I don't know a lot about H3 forge so was mainly enquiring if I'm wasting time pursuing this. My friend suggest have team slayer variants with many teams and using a points system some how. Will have it think about it more lol
I personally think it's a waste of time trying to pursue something that even experienced forgers might have a problem with. In my opinion, you should learn a lot about how forge works before attempting these things. You should look up the stickied topics, Forge 101, switches, and any other helpful links to learn it. You can also just mess around with custom gametype and stuff to get a good feel for forging.
In the arena, have two starting points, 1 juggernaut and 1 player, have the rest start in the skybubble and fall to their deaths. Also make the game so the players only have 1 life. Then, if one player in the arena kills the other, the round ends, either making the juggernaut win or the human, making him the new juggernaut. I think this will work (I hope)
There isn't any juggernaut spawn points. I would have one starting point in the arena, one respawn point in the arena. Have the rest of the spawn points in the sky and 2 respawn points in the stands. But i don't see how using juggernaut will help you get the winner to stay on. I would use infection.
