9 months ago, I and a few others could not help the addiction of Halo's famous game Grifball. We played it consistantly, but soon there after Grifball seemed like it need more of a kick, and the Arena itself was to plain....

So I decided to make one for the record...an Arena focused on the fun game, but with a few new weapons

SPORTS ARENA

weapons on the map are as follows:

Sniper: 4 ( two on each side )
Plasma Grenade: 4 ( two on each side )
Spartan Laser: 1 ( center on top of bridge )

Equipment:

Custom Power up for speed: 4 ( two on each side )
Overshield: 2 ( 1 located center under each over pass )

This arena has completely changed the way you used to know grifball, for one, if you noticed the announcer box around the crane claw. It is not the typical square box, nor random upside down truck lol. If take a look at the second picture, I have a show case, it consist of the A and B sign, pointing towards opposite team sides, fusion coils, a few random weapons, crates, barrels....and the lone energy sword, in reminder of the old grifball game

the reason why I mention "OLD" is because this arena has brough on a new kind of sport, one that I find much more intense, and fun for everyone. My version of Grifball, has earned a name after myself as RAYZORBALL

forget what you knew about Grifball, for this game, there are no swords! There are now rockets, which bring out a whole new experience. Not to mention that as soon as you pick up the ball there is no overshield! You will have to go get one yourself!

Now to explain an easy step by step walkthrough that can help you understand the game better.

The focus on the map, was to make the arena smaller allowing a faster gameplay, and to confinscate the size, there is an overpass on both sides and through center allowing teams to make additional strategies on getting the ball in the goal. When you first start off, it is just like grifball, the only problem you have to worry about is that there will be rockets coming towards you so start shooting back to get the other team focused on their life

as soon as you get the ball in hand, try to get to the overshield which will be located on your right and left.

After you have accomplished this, try to make it as quickly as you can to the goal by reaching the gravity lift. Be careful, for as defense goes,
[IMG]
the lift can be destroyed, and you will have to wait 10 seconds for it to re-spawn....10 seconds is a long time to wait when there are rockets heading towards you during that time period

Incase this happens, you can see that there are two custom power ups that will give you 50% boost to run back and pick up another overshield or re-think a convenient strategy

as soon as you get an opportunity, make no time to waste, go for the goal

Successfully complete three goals to end the round, and have fun my friends....there are five rounds, hope you enjoy this game, and map

Looks pretty crazy and a little bit chaotic. Rockets on the map seem to be a bit much, i wouldnt have them. Also, i would have just used the griffball court or make something like that because from the looks of it you can get out of the map very easily.

you can if you tried, but the main focus is on playing, not seeing how to get out. I have gotten out plenty of times, but it takes time, and time is not on your side during this gameplay. The respawn time is three seconds, no betrayal or suicide delays...so it keeps you going, you do not have to worry about sitting around, this game will keep you occupied

Someone could very easily get on the bridge with the ball and be rocket boosted by an ally over the wall, ruining the game. And yes, there are people that would do that. Other than that, the map seems really fun.

It look interesting enough. It's just that Rockets, Snipers and Spartan Lasers seem a bit too much. As for the whole "people escaping the level" thing: Just don't play with people like that. However, if you do have any budget left over, please make another layer to stop idiots from getting out. That's my two cents. Keep up the good forging!

It looks like there are too many pointless objects like explosives and the house. I would take those out because you can escape this map. Try building a higher barrier and take out the useless items to save money and stop people from glitching out. Also I think that a griffball game with lasers, rockets, swords, overshields is a little too much.

the map is very clean and layed out. the snipers are held vertically up by weapon holders. I understand your concern about the house like announcer box...its purpose was to give the layout some aesthetics, as well as the show case. other than that, its very fun. I will see what I can do about the arena

this is a bit sloppy and the rockets would make the game a bit well... chaotic and very hard. Also defenders could just constantly destroy the lift or take the power up themselves. The rockets would constantly blow players right out of the map even if it is on accident. There would need to be a way to get back in. When me and my friends played this it was very hard and me and one other friend got blown out of the map too much. Make the walls bigger or make some way of getting back in. The house up top is also very sloppy.

it was made nine months ago, and hasnt had any of my latest experienced touch up. but i have had far more excelent feed back from people, you just have to know how to use rockets. And defense is not the way to win, it will just prolong the game, you have to know how to have fun
