Idea For New Map

    I am thinking of making a new map, I havn't made a map since co-forging with sharpshooter in creating Quadrivium. This my sound hilarious, but I wanted to make an Avatar the Last Airbender map. What I had in mind was to have the map created on sandbox and have four temples in all four corners, of course. I plan on going on the internet to get more information on what their temples look like, but I wanted to make this map a KOTH gametype and perhaps slayer. I wanted to make a platform, kind of like an arena and have the hill there. In all four temples, I wanted there to be different weapons, grenades, and equipment that would represent each element. ( Water, Earth, Fire, and Air). Here is kind of my idea for what each element should have.

    Fire: Firebomb grenades, sentinel beam.
    Water: Plasma grenades, Beam Rifle
    Air: custom power up ( jump higher and move faster ) Gravity Hammer, Bubble Shield
    Earth: Brute Shot, Trip Mine, Spike Grenade.

    The reason of making this thread was to get ideas on how to balance the weapons, equipment, and grenades out for each element.

    Discuss?

    Yes, I know, back to Avatar, the game sounds like it would be fun though.

    you could add a flamethrower to the fire side. it would help a little in close combat. or you could add a splaser to the fire side

    Ugh, just wrote an entire paragraph and accidently hit backspace after clicking up and deleted it all. Oh well it wasn't very good anyway.

    About the flamethrow idea... It really would destroy balance in the map in my opinion. First to water temple wins. Why? The sentinal beam gives a counter to the long range of the beam rifle. I think it's pretty well balanced right now. The structural part is the only real thing I think needs to be worked on.

    How about something like an overshield in the center? To keep people crossing through the center instead of sticking to the side roots. It could count as an instant powerup in your bender's powers. You have water and fire? A burning moon mysteriously appears somewhere you can't see it and all of a sudden you have gained resilance to the other elements. You get the point.

    Main problem I see is your opposite elements, which are water and fire, and earth and air, are the same! Both fire and water have longrange weapons, with earth and air have closer range weapons (with air a teensy bit overpowered in my mind, sacrificed for no range, which works). Honestly, I think it would be more logical if Air had long range or short range and Earth had the opposite, with water and fire having the same deal. But really, if you can't get the weapons for it I guess it doesn't matter. P.S. Flamethrower is close range, and snipers leave a trail of smoke like air.
