    Passage

    Passage is a small symetrical map that is designed for 1v1 but can be used for up to 4 player free for all (any more and it gets too crowded and spawn camping may occur).
    i have set it up for all gametypes but most of them are pointless because of it's size.
    the basic layout of the map is a small base at each end which is just a room with some grenades a BR and a piece of equipment (either bubble shield or regenerator) from here you can head up the stairs in to the main arena. this is an open space with two column roofs on each side (on top of two of those are flame grenades) in the centre there is a shotgun and around the edges you will find BRs SMGs and some spike grenades. at each end there is an elevated spawning area the size of a double box, which is purely to avoid any spawn camping issues, there is nothing in either of these. on each side there is an open single box. the one with the A-signs next to it allows you to fall down into the "passage" which is basically just a small underground corridor that houses a couple of spikes and a rocket launcher, at the other end of the passage is a grav lift to allow you to get back onto the rest of the map, this can be destroyed to allow an unexpected ambush. if you jump over either holeto the small ledge there is either a power drain or a carbine. that is the basic layout of the map.

    this was my first attempt at making elevated floors and i think it turned out quite well (i made this before submerged i just never got around to posting it) i'm going to take a break from casual forging now to focus on the maps i have planned for my guilder app, i hope to be finished with them around June. please comment on anything i am happy to answer questions if you have any (i doubt that you will). and see you in a month forgehub!

    Looks good and well done i think that the bridges in the middle should be flipped upside down. i like that you have sort of like towers up the top and a tunnel underneath i had a larger map that i was planning like this but i scrapped it. i like that you have added alot of cover aswell.

    grats on your 100th post, and i will turn the bridges upside down at some point it's just that at the time it was easier to leave them as they were, and besides you have more room in the passage if you don't flip them

    When I played this with you, spawn camping could still occur but not frequently.

    that was only one time and you were lucky, besides if there is more than two people it NEVER happens i played 3 player ffa to 50 didn't happen once

    i have a few other small maps, one that is already out (submerged), one that is about to come out, and one i've just started on

    it looks cool i like testing it with u and all i have to say is u shouldnt be able to get stuck under there

    Qued, 1v1 is fun for settling arguments ;)

    Looks fun...does 2v2 work good on this map too?

    I really like 1v1 maps because they show a high degree of design, you really have to think through how its going to turn out before you lay the first object and this map proves my point. I hope you don't turn around and say you threw this together and make me seem a fool..
    I'm working on my 1st 1v1 map now and have taken alot of inspiration from you and Furious D18, mostly Unchained and Fractured, both of which are great. The elevated double boxes and walls used for floors was something I liked alot and thought I'd have a go. Hope it goes well.
    As far as the bridges in this level go, I do agree that they would look better flipped but if it would decrease space in the passage then you definitely made the right call, I'd always choose playability over aesthetics, even though it is frustrating having to choose at all. This map is really fun and that's what counts, good one IvOrY Snak3.
