    The Aftershock of V1...

    After the upset of our first post... and people commenting on its sloppiness without even giving it a chance/DL, the team bonked heads together again and decided to revise the map with more interlox and geomergin'! The outcome in the creators' eyes will never match up to the original high taken from playing a match on the orginal, but it might go over better with a crowd so "picky". After about 18 hours of being fed up with things like...​

    and...

    we decided it was time. So now we present to you the second installment of the infectious gametype, All Your Base on Belong to Us, except in a new stye... All Your Base on Belong 2 Us! The new map invloves some 'prettier' looking scenery, but the same zany gameplay... The new map, although it may not appear as so at first, was built the same as the last one... completely and utterly random! Its not to say the base layouts are... simply the combinations of bases! Once we sat down to start, this time with all three of us from the start, we worked on it non-stop for about 5 hours, and fairly confident with our new map set up a FH Testers Guild appointment.... for that night... luckily, a man named Kidbomber decided to help us, along with him and a few other FH Tester Guild Members we got a 2v2v2v2 going and quickly found out that we had succeeded! We had made a map appealing, and fun!

    The Story...

    IN A.D. 2101
    WAR WAS THE BEGINING
    *explosion*
    CAPTAIN: WHAT HAPPEN ?
    MECHANIC: SOMEONE SET UP US THE BOMB.
    OPERATOR: WE GET SIGNAL.
    CAPTAIN: WHAT !
    OPERATOR: MAIN SCREEN TURN ON.
    CAPTAIN: IT'S YOU !!
    CATS: HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN !!
    CATS: ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.
    CATS: YOU ARE ON THE WAY TO DESTRUCTION.
    CAPTAIN: WHAT YOU SAY !!
    CATS: YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME.
    CATS: HA HA HA HA !!

    Map Description:

    All Your Base on Belong 2 Us is an extremely fun 8 territory map... built for 4 team territory action! Some bases have a unique function, for example the ODST Base can be used to quickly assault other bases, although it has been vamped down since the previous version. And now we've added new interesting bases, like the vehicle bay and the roundhouse! This map is the perfect map if you constantly find yourself with a big party but nothing to play! This map starts each team in a base and allows players to capture as many other bases as possible before the end of the 5 minute round. To prevent spawn camping players are granted a 3 second duration after they spawn of invincablity, and to symbolize this, the players turn white. Territories don't lock and there is no sudden-death. Other than that, its basically territories, except 9001x (over 9000) more fun.​

    While this will never be the same as the original I still find it to be extremely fun, and I had a great time making it! I hope you all enjoy playing on it! Oh ya! And PLEASE POST! I love and enjoy feedback... even if its bad feedback and I have to argue with you.... POST FEEDBACK!! PLEASE!!!​

    WOOOT! lol Good to see this map getting a little more positive feedback. lol It was extremely fun to play and was very hectic. One round was centered around the Roundhouse, and he next, everyone was flying in from the ODST base to capture the House! All in all, making it was fun but took some time, and I hope everyone sees the gameplay value in this kind of game/map.​

    (created upper catwalks, did all geomerging, half of Roundhouse, teleporter door to sniper spire, objectives, and odd and ends of the map) ​

    Special Note from Kidbomber!:

    When First Seeing the First version, i thought little of it being it seemed alot more work could be done on it. However when i tested Version 2, i saw alot more change for the better; and it worked well for the map. Even tho the aesthetics to the map aren't amazing here, thats not really the point. The Gameplay was very quick pace, and we had plenty of laughs when we were testing. I recommend downloading this, and try it out for yourself!​

    Yay! My post is quoted in the first post! Lol. Looking at it now I feel like a was a bit harsh, but I spoke honestly. This doesn't seem like the first one, and once I'd gotten around to gameplay on the original, I was amazed. My friends and I had a blast with the game. The pictures for this one make it seem different, but I'm downloading it right now. I'm glad to have been one to convince you to make a 'V2' of it, although rather unexpectedly soon. I'll get back with gameplay and stuff later, I'm sorry but it's 1:40 A.M. and I've got to get to bed. However, from the pics, right now I'd give it a 3.5/5 Keep it up! I'd love to see more neat maps like this one!

    My post sounded a lot harsher when quoted too, but it was true. The map is not perfect now, but what map is? If I commented saying your map was perect, it'd be spam. Some areas still seem too open, but I'm glad you took my idea of the catwalks to improve the map. The vehicle bay also makes the back base(s) weaker too. Nice job on this version 2, I will download and give better feedback now.

    well I think I know where you went array with your original post... you were looking at it as a two team territories match with specific bases yet by design the map is supossed to be random, and the bases are supposed to constantly be being contensted... I do appreciate the fact that yoou will DL this time, and if you can't get a full party together playing it i really would come back with more feedback... (sorry if that sounded harsh) because you will never experience the fun with out at least 8 people...

    also sorry if me quoting you made it sound harsh, ill make it anonymous if you want... I just thought I'd quote a few and randomly chose yours... lol

    Wow, this looks hectic. I really think that the gameplay in this must be great. The aesthetics are pretty good too. This is probably the best playing map I've seen in a long time. I also like how some bases are good to defend and how some bases aren't. I think a good stategy I'd use is to go to the weaker bases first and then move to stronger ones, because in my mind, I'd think the weak bases would be the last to be fought over. You did really good on this map. Good job.

    I like the way it looks, especially the Sword spawn. I also like the four team territories gametype. My favorite base is the Destructible one, because you can blow it up. Overall, it looks awesome, especially the merging and interlocking. Great job. 4.5/5

    You guys really shouldn't get down on yourselves too hard about your first map version. You have to remember that as builders of maps, we cater to a niche of people. The fact that there are various gametypes as well, narrows down that niche of people even further. Multi-team territories is a very small niche of people. Many people won't even touch territories or their maps. I, myself, only play infection games and won't even touch any maps unless they're featured. Hell, I won't even touch an infection game if I see MG turrets facing an entrance or if it looks too favorable to one side... and I'll give those maps an automatic low rating.

    Sure, we'd all love to have our maps downloaded by 1000's of people. I know for a fact that I'm not a great forger and merger, but I don't think a map that plays great needs those things. I build what's interesting to me and what my friends would enjoy playing. I try to make games that are out of the normal "sit on a turret or fire down a hallway and kill 100s of one-shot kill zombies". As long as the people that matter, aka your friends, enjoy the game... that's what really matters. If anyone else likes the game, that's just a bonus.

    Just keep building maps that you and your friends enjoy... and if anyone else gives it a chance and likes it too, that's just a plus.

    kool destructable bases? id dl but there's too much merging and im trying to start a movement that discriminates against merged maps. jk awesome work.

    I also DL'ed this one and thought it wasn't quite as great gameplay as the first one. 5/5 on the map design / layout. Maybe 3/5 for Gameplay. Soz apples. This one wasn't quite as good. Still fun though. I really got tired of the House and the Roundhouse being used too much. I know its in casual but still, gotta have a little competition in life right?

    Thanks for the comment Camyo, yes, this one isn't quite as fun as the first one... but thats because people jumped on us for not being 'neat' on the first one... I will always love the first one better... but the 2nd definately is 'neater' looking.

    EDIT: Also... thx for the bump =D
