Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, just move it if it is.

Whenever i record videos off of my capture card, i get this weird greenish fuzz thats at the bottom of the screen and it annoys the hell out of me, how do i get rid of it?

If you aren't sure what i'm talking about, then look at this: YouTube - Great Comeback and look really hard for it.

    Thanks in advance!

Thats not your Capture Card problem its your TV i believe. Kinda dont know how to fix the problem, but you could record a bigger resolution.

Woah Wtf? I would just use a recording program to edit the bottom line of pixels out of my movies, other than that just make sure all your cords are tight and that there is no information lossage along the way.

It happens with all the DVC 100's and some others, you'll just have to crop it in a video editing program, although I'm not sure if Pinnacle can do that.

Well, my first check your connection and make sure everything is secure. You may also want to check for overlapping wires, though highly unlikely they can still cause interference.

Also, what is your capture card? I use the Canopus DVC-100. This is important because it captures with certain settings. My capture settings for it are 720x480 (I am pretty sure, can't think off the top of my head) in NTSC. If your settings are not right, than this can also be the cause of your problem.

Regardless, the simplest measure is to do what amoeba suggested, and just crop it out.

Pinnacle can't do that but Sony Vegas can. And not all DVC 100s do this. Mine never does this. Ever.
But yeah, crop the clip a tiny bit, then stretch it back into place. No-one will notice a stretch that small.

Also, that quality is too good to be worrying about meagre things like a green line that flickers a bit.

If you're using AMcap there's an option to mask noisy signals at the top and bottom of the screen.

    Mine does that too. :p

I use Sony Vegas, but if I ever make a machinima like i'm planning to, I really don't want that to be there because it is actualoly quite noticeable.

Then it's as simple as scaling the image larger.

I just read something that said all Television signals have that at the bottom. It's some feedback or information scrolling or something. Don't remember exactly. The reason you don't see it is because of the frame around the TV. The only way I've found to fix it is to crop/stretch, as mentioned above.

To fix this first I record the sound with a program I have. Then I use snag it to crop the video and rerecord it on my computer while it's playing. Because snag it's sound quality sucks, but the video is good, I then remove the crappy sound in Windows Movie maker and put the good audio back in from my audio recorder.
