    A.k.a. Atonement v.3

    Welcome, this is redemption.
    Redemption is not a completely new map for me, as it is mainly my older map Atonement with much needed improvements. With the newfound splendor in gameplay and flow, I decided to rename the map but also keep with the original maps name style.

    Things that have been added since the original:
    - an extra box on each side near the bottom center
    - a pair of floating walls connected by a shield wall are on each side near middle center
    - angled walls on the top platform to allow accurate landing
    - fixed weapon spawns and placement, with the removal of the spartan laser and addtion of the sniper rifle


    Story:
    Ages ago humanity built floating rigs such as this one out in the middle of the ocean to collect readings for seismic activity. Many scientists were sent out on these rigs for more than six months at a time, and the long exposure to the moonlight in the northern oceans drove everyone to insanity. Now, this is the only remaining rig of its kind, stained by the blood of the lost, and forgotten at sea.

    This map supports ALL gametypes
    Suggested gametypes include but are not limited to: Slayer, King of the Hill and Oddball

    Weapons and spawn placement:
    Spiker x2 - one in each base off to the left of ramp up
    Needler x2 - one on the right side of both mancannons
    Battle rifle x2 - one at the end of overhang on each tower
    Smg x2 - one on each open box near bottome center
    Sniper rifle x1 - one in middle center, in the center of the shield door
    Sentinel beam x1 - one in bottom center, directly beneath inerlocked overshield
    Assualt rifle x2 - one on floating wall closest to each base

    Equipment:
    Plasma grenade x6 - two on top platform, one at end of overhang on both towers, one in the upside-down open box on both sides
    Spike grenade x4 - two in each base to the left of the ramp up
    Regenerator x2 - one beneath each mancannon
    Bubble shield x1 - one on top platform (not available on redemption ctf)

    This map supports ALL gametypes
    Suggested gametypes include but are not limited to: Team slayer, Land Grab, Multi-Flag and Neutral Assault

    Redemption ctf is made for team based games specifically. in redemption ctf there are a few changes including the attackers tower doesn't spawn in asymmetric games.

    With the lack of mancannons to launch you across the map quickly, redemption ctf ushers in better team based gameplay.

    Fun Facts!
    - Number of times I coughed making this map: approximately 12,326
    - Number of people at a lan party I pissed off with this map because they refused to turn screen brightness up: 1
    - Hours spent on map making: idk
    - Times my mom told me it was time for dinner while making the map: 127
    - Number of ways to escape the map known to me: 0


    When I get the chance, I hope to add a video walkthrough/gameplay video
    but, I most likely wont be able to.


    Remember, turn screen brightness to higher or stuff like this WILL HAPPEN

    looks pretty cool, i remember seeing your map "attonement" a while ago, its nice that you came back to revisit it.

    one question: did you use the transfusion template for this map?

    No, it was inspired by transfusion but is not a product of his template map.

    I like the fact that this map is on Blackout and it is over the water. Why are there so many shield doors? It looks kind of small too. With all the shields on it, grabbing the flag and ctf and running all the way back is kind of a big possibility. 3/5

    I am slightly confused as to why you wouldn't make this on Skybox.
    Other than that it looks fairly decent. I like your use of elevation; the ups and downs provide interesting gameplay. To a point. Where it gets annoying focusing on jumping instead of shooting.

    I downloaded to check it out as I've been looking for a good forged map on Blackout for a while and I must say I quite like this. It is bigger than it seems in the pictures though it is still quite small, but that's not really a problem. Good work.

    Thank you for your one good thing to say. So many shields, and why? Well, I used shields as to promote movement like bungie tries to emphasize in gameplay, because shield doors don't block pathways, they block bullets.

    Of all the shields, 7 of them don't give cover to people running.

    Additionally, if your team works together, nobody will get a flag capture exclusively because of the shield doors. Obviously if they do, your team does not know how to properly utilize them to deter the intruder.

    to answer your confusion, I did not make this on the sky box for three reasons
    1. I don't own the mythic map pack
    2. I already had the original on blackout so I see no reason to switch maps just to fix problems with the original.
    3. I actually like blackouts forge pallette. (The way the objects look)
    And sandbox's pallette is too bland for my taste.

    I can understand how paying attention to where you're jumping can be annoying, but I made the map so that jumping was in most circumstances an option. And in those small times it is the only way, I made sure that the jump could be made by ANYONE. No special nade jumps, no crouch jumps, slide jumps, none of that. Just a normal jump will get you there. So, if you find it too annoying at times I can understand, but it helps if you play ffa with over 4 people on it, the mass chaos will make you jump less and be more tactical with jumps. (At least for me it does)

    like the blackout change im tired of foundry im glad to see a good interlock blackout map i might suggest you take some of the barrels and barriers off for better manuverability. 5/5

    Thank you but, what do you mean the barrels and barriers? There is not a single barrel or barrier on the normal map.

    Maybe you accidentally downloaded the infection version, it does have that stuff, and they are ment to hinder your movement on it.
