Ever had that time where you want to show off your pro skillz to friends without them getting in the way? How about when you want to 2v2, but you've got 5 players? Eyewitness is your new solution.

Remember: this was epically rushed. Don't expect too much, and report any bugs.

On spawn, every team other than the third team (normally green) will spawn in the main area. Basically, if you wanted to 1v1 with people watching, you would go red, he would go blue, and the spectators all green. They can then watch the game but are not able to get in the way. The one big problem with this is that the host MUST be a spectator. There are various ways of checking host, the most simple of which are loading up Forge, whoever looks down, goes into forge mode, and comes back to human mode still looking down is the host.

Alternatively, you can have them switch teams.

This is the map used in The Running Riot Podcast #18 with Louis Wu. As far as I know, this is a completely unique map, and I hope everyone enjoys it! Me and Slik really have rushed it out though, in time to be used on the broadcast, and Version 2 will be much more polished, but enjoy V1 until then!

The weapons are fast spawn and low-ammo style. No extra clips on either power weapon balance out the short respawn times. This promotes fast and interesting gameplay. Both sides vary depending on the weapon sets and spawns around them, and these greatly change the way the map is played.

    Weapon set:
    1 Rocket Lawn Chair - 120
    1 Snipper Riffle - 120
    2 Battle Riffles - 30
    2 Carbabababines - 30
    2 Assault Riffles - 30
    2 Bubble Shields - 90
    4 Plasma Nadzzz - 30
    2 Mongooses (mongeese?) - 60

    Spectator Box Distractions:
    1 Radar Jammer - 60
    1 Flare - 60

At this current time, Eyewitness only supports Team Slayer variants.

Rocket lawn chair? Hm, never heard of it. I'll have to see later. Anyways, aesthetically, the map looks pretty smooth, but I gotta say... it looks VERY open on the bottom floor, with the pictures you've provided. Perhaps an overview shot? This map seems to have some potential, but it's still pretty much a beta version at the moment, I can see some things that could be improved. I'll download and get back to you later.

EDIT: What is in the optional gametype?

It's meant to be open. Its designed for BRs with small amounts of people. It's very reminiscent of The Pit.

The final version will just be aesthetic and spawn fixes.

    Pretty sweet idea.
But does it randomly make a person watch?

Or is it the person on the 3rd team?

Anywho sweet map, you have my DL.

The host will be the spectator. So basically, let's say we have 4 guys in a game and we want to do a 3 person FFA with me as a spectator. I leave and invite everyone else. Player 1 goes red, Player 2 goes blue, Player 3 goes orange. I go green and start the game. Assuming nobody has stolen host (you may want to do a host check), I will spawn in the spectator box, while everyone else will spawn outside. The host thing is annoying, but unfortunately the way Bungie's spawn system has been set up.

After we got the spawn system sorted out thanks to DARUI5, this has gotten to be a great FFA map. The weapon clip & respawn stats really intensify and speed up the gameplay quite a bit, suiting the FFA feel a lot more than other slow-respawned maps. This map is one of those maps that I don't understand how you can build something so balanced and good-looking in such a short parameter of time. This is definitely a highlight, great job Insane, I'm glad you got this up!

this looks great... the forgeing is really good for a rushed map and the idear is awesome!
i dont see how the spawn point thing works or how host has anything to do with it? spawn points r the things im bad with in forge.
also it would b good if u put 1 good overview shot in and 1 more shot of the spectator box thing.

Sorry I kinda pooped out in the building process. I can see the finished product is magnificent, I hope it plays as well.

Thought I would throw this up, the notes I took from testing the new concept.

EDIT: I think Note pad screwed it up when I saved it and duplicated it randomly weird, well we got 71 little test sessions in one day and I took notes of all of them shame it got all borked.

Did you ever put in those SMG's like I suggested? Looks good for warmups. Kinda open in some parts. :3

Sorry for late response, was without internet for a few days. No, the SMGs were removed. Reason being I wanted a BR (or whatever starting gun you choose) oriented game over a game filled with weapons. I've always hated it when your playing a 2v2 on The Pit and the other team grabs both snipers, OS, sword, and camo, and just camps at your S3. That's kind of an extreme example, but basically I was trying to decrease the amount of weapons. That's why the variety is so few, but they each cancel each other out (sniper can be taken out with a carbine, rockets by stickies to the fusion coils by its spawn)

The openness of the map is also on purpose. This is a competitive 1v1 to 3v3 map, not a 'hide in the random structures' map.

It's a very open map on the floor; I think you should have cut it off or something.

good map. you got some good ideas.
maybe its a little bit too open at some spots...so you can maybe add a stone block ar a wall.
i see that you interlock some object, but i think you could interlock them at some points where its very helpfull.
    overall a good map.
