eh. I regret having bought the first map pack for WaW. I think the only fun I've had was sniping on Nightfire and playing Veruckt Zombies.

If I end up blowing the ten on this it'll be for the Japanese Zombies, as well as Corrosion; looks like a spiritual successor to Pipeline.

edit;; btw, nice find. hadn't taken the time to look up or stumble upon these myself.

Update, just bought the new maps. I have to say they are pretty damn good. I was skeptical from the videos (looked the same as the first 3 maps), and i didn't really want to pay 800MP for new maps, but i had about 2600 points so i did anyway. Anyways, these are probably the first map pack that I've bought in which every map in awesome. The new **** zombie map is also pretty good.

    Anyways here's my review:

    1. Banzai
This map has a Creek-like feel to it (from COD4), but it's infinitely better than it's predecessor. Theres a big bridge that extends over a small valley with waterfalls on one side of the map and on the other side theres tunnels that run through and behind the waterfalls. This map has something for everybody, whether you like sniping, rushing, running and gunning, or whatever. This map is especially good with CTF and War. Loads of fun, my favorite so far.

    2. Corrosion
3 words: Multi-Tiered Madness. It resembles Pipeline from COD4 but is a lot more fun. Theres so many different short cuts and different ways to run around the map that it creates a lot of intense fighting. You always have to watch your back because it's easy for people to sneak up on you. Domination, Headquarters, and S&D are very fun on this map.

    3. Sub Pens
This map is basically a 2 docks on both sides and a huge submarine you step onto to cross to the other side. Kind of reminds me of Station but it's way better. There's nothing really wrong with this map per se, but it does suck in that a lot of people tend to whip out the MP40+Juggernaut combo here.

    4. New **** Zombies Map
This map is really fun, and it looks like Treyarch really put a lot of effort into making it sweet. They even made everyone a certain character (like L4D) to play as (you can't choose), each with their own unique voicings. Their all from each faction in WaW and they all say stuff in their respective accent. It doesn't affect gameplay but it is fun. The map is also a lot bigger than Verruckt was. It's shaped like a Giant X where every spawns in one corner of the X and then you can unlock a lot of doors to move around the map. Another new thing is that it's no longer **** Zombies but Japanese zombies (all the zombies have the japanese skin to them). In addition, theres a new thing where every 5 rounds hell hounds spawn. These are basically big ass zombie dogs that are quicker than zombies and are a hell of a lot more scary. Just be prepared for them when they spawn because our team wasn't and we all died at round 5. Still not sure what I think about them, but it is an interesting touch.

Are these maps worth it though? Or are they a quick, sloppy set of maps pulled out by Treyarch to compete with Modern Warfare 2 and COD4's new map pack?

I'm not that interested in these maps unless they are actual good (Banzai seems nice though). I've come to hate World at War for various reasons...

Im not going to buy them, I played COD5, got in the top 50 for sabotage, then retired.
I went back to COD4 and i like it more. I am going to save my money and give it to MW2 instead of treyarch.

The only thing I think is worth is the Zombie map, a lot bigger, a lot harder, and more entertaining because of the characters voices.

No don't be mislead. I know the first map pack was only halfway decent (I only really liked Knee Deep and sort of liked Verruckt, but I'm not a big **** Zombie guy). But the second map pack really came through, and all the maps are great. This is probably the best map pack deal I've ever gotten. Way better than the first map pack and much better than the COD4 map pack. I'm actually impressed with Treyarch this time around. They might be hard to navigate at first but once you figure it out they're all a lot of fun. TDM is always good, but some of them really shine with different objective gametypes (i.e. Domination, HQ, and S&D are great on Corrosion while CTF and War are good on Banzai)
