Where did the challenge go? I mean not very many games out there are focusing on the challenge. They seem to not be making an effort on the challenge but more on the story and graphics mainly graphics. So what do you guys think? Are the developers not caring about game play? There are quite a few games that still stick to the challenge like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Call of Duty 4. Right now I am playing Dark Sector and I must say it is very difficult at some parts.
Just completed the new red faction, and I must say, it IS very easy. The character's pretty much invincible, I was kinda disappointed. Maybe i'll give insane a try. I also completed serious sam on serious this morning, because xbox live wasn't working for me. That. Was challenging. but awesome.
I guess developers want players to experience the story, features, mechanics and graphics, more than they want to present a challenge to them, possibly to gain a larger fanbase. Some games still have a challenge, and if you aren't satisfied with the campaign on the highest difficulty setting, go to multiplayer
It's because all games are based at 5 year olds nowadays, seriously. Go buy every game on the wii, find one that's challenging.
you want a challenge? the ninja gaiden series is your friend, any of those on master ninja is IMPOSIBLE. Im stuck on the great archfiend (first form) on path of the mentor,I cant even imagine what its like on master ninja.
if you REALY want a challenge try playing Halo 3 on legendary while sitting upside-down and all of the skulls are on and only meleeing hows that for a challenge?
Challenge-Go play the level Cortana on Legendary with ALL skulls on by yourself. Now thats a challenge. Challenging games are not gone. Most games have a difficulty setting. Game Developers are starting to gear over to making games less challenging or having a choice in difficulty because videogames are very much starting to hit the mainstream entertainment. So if you have a friend over and you guys want to play a game and its hard as hell then they are just going to throw the controller down and never play the game again. So GDs are trying to keep people playing there games and make the player feel like they are really good at said game. btw thanks to whoever reads this
IGN: Bit.Trip Beat Review Yeah boi. Legendary is not challenging, it only makes you easier to kill. I think devs should focus on making the AI more formidable, that way hard modes will actually be fun.
The AI on darkSector are smart as hell they will flank you. I like Ninja Gaiden 2 it's challenging that's why I like it.
tried to do rats nest solo on legendary and got owned so much by the brutes. Try finishing the game on legendary solo with scoring on while it being your first game of the day.
Because challenging games are focused on hard core gamers. Developers need to draw in casual players as well to make any kind of profit. If you think most games that have Insane and Expert levels are too easy, you are probably just playing too much.
I guess it is true I just wish there more games like Ninja Gaiden 2 although it really grinds my gears it's challenging.
I didn't find COD 4 that challenging... And halo SLASO isn't as bad as it's made out, just dodge their bullets, it's easier than it sounds. It's hard but not as hard as it's made out to be. Anyway, we shouldn't have to play slaso to make it challenging... (slaso = solo, legendary, all skulls on)
I did rats nest on legendary by myself, wasnt too hard. The part where you are locked in the room with the chieftain was kind of hard. aah yes Like what i said earlier, i agree I thought Charlie Dont Surf on Veteran was brutal for me. I never passed that level, no patience. Goddamn those quotes and high pitched whines...
