Hey everyone, it's been a while since I tried using Forge, but I've been away from my 360 for a few months and I've been scheming about Sandbox's possibilities. Here's what I came up with: Babel This is an wide shot of the tower. Space around the ediface is perfect for dogfighting and surveillance. This symmetrical map features a combat on 3 stories: a bottom level with two bases and central area, a mid level with central scaffolding and side vantage positions, and a top level with a banshee dock and alternate routes to bypass the warfare below. This picture shows the red base, stocked with rockets, spikers, a brute shot, and spike grenades. The flag/bomb is tucked in the left corner of the base, while the ground entry is in the right corner (or alternate outside path to the left). 90 degree angles make the spike grenades particularly effective. The image above shows Babel's central arena: two fins and a single pillar make for sparse but effective cover while running through the center, often under fire from one of the mounted turrets. On the 2nd tier, there is a sword prize in the middle of the map (only accessible from the outside wooden path and ramp up). The top most level shown above utilizes the wood bridges for walls, refencing the construction of the biblical tower. There is a banshee available (which can easily outshoot either of the hornets) and also provides a relatively safe passage across the middle of the arena. The wooden bridges that wrap around each base are vulnerable to aerial attack, but allow access to the 2nd level sword platform, or the set of pipes that lead to drop access in both bases. Also, they can be traversed by an attacking party for a surprise assault. Tactical junkies will immediately understand the purpose of this arrangement. Babel is built directly on the floor of the sky bubble. If an attacking player were to sneak into the tube above and charge up the plasma pistol, it's only a matter of time until the other team loads up the hornet. With a single overcharged shot, the vehicle drops below the sky bubble and blam - instant triple kill. The game is designed for flag and bomb variants (making the aerial transport most useful), but holds its own in slayer and king of the hill as well. Hope you'll download and comment, the map can be found at this link: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=81491237
hey, you need to embed you pictures before posting your map because people get annoyed by clicking and its easier to just see the pic. You can do this by going to www.haloscreenshots.net and typing in your gt and comping the IMG code from the pictures you have taken!
Wrong code buddie haha. I did look at the map though, it's nice but you may wanna rethink the sword spawn though. P.S. Go here to embed your screenshots http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-maps/18644-embed-screenshots-your-map-thread.html
sick map dude i like the use of different layers but i would take out the air vehicles if i were you because then the map is to overpowering for one team if they control everything.
good forging but it don't seem to be big.... enough from the pics for a capture the flag map witch it has a flag in the first pic so... but other than that u did pretty good 3/5
Nice map, I would think that the hornet/banshee would be TOO overpowering on this map, especially when one team would be able to get both of the vehicles. I do like the little side passages around the map with the thin wood bridges. 4/5 Also, one more thing, take advantage of the interlocking. I see some bumps that can either be minor or major problems for the gameplay.
