~T for Terminal~ Created By: Hank102938 Is this place terminal? Or is this place a terminal? I'm confused, are you? Download T for Terminal Download Official Conquest v3 Gametype Description: If your still confused about the short discription above (If you got it then you might as well skip this paragraph), its a play on words. Allow me to explain, for those who didn't get it..The word terminal has multiple definitions thus, The map could mean your death, as in 'Is this place terminal'. Or is it a [airport] terminal? Just another homograph. Now you get it? So enough of the smart person talk... My map T for Terminal has been in the making for ever. I think I started it back when the conquest forge off started, but as usuall I got lazy and didn't finish it in time. (At least it isn't as bad as being lazy and not finishing your map in time for the lazy map makers contest, which I did as well. lol) So, after I finaly put the wepons on (thats all that I had left to do) now quite a while later, I give you T for Terminal. Also, I have no Idea how I came up with the name other than the map looks like a 'T' when you take the roof off as you will see in one of the pictures. So, take a look... First, I'll give an overview. Note: The Roof has been removed to see inside. Now, inside, we can see the first territory area. Far in the back is a spawn area for one team. As you can see, there is windows, so when the two teams try to capture their first territory, they can fight. In this room there is a magnum, spiker, grenade, and a spike grenade. Next up is th second territory for both teams. This is right around the corner from the first room. The camera in the picture above would be in the top right corner. The teleporter takes you to a telebox in the same location, but on the other team's side. In this room there is a spiker, a SMG, a grenade, and two plasma rifles. Right aound the corner in the left of the picture is the middle room. Here is another overview of the map. Remember: Roof is Off.In the bottom middle you can see the middle room/territory. To the middle left and right, there is each team's second territories, and the teleboxes. In the middle room there are two spike grenades, two frag grenades, one BR, and one plasma pistol. This is per side, as well as previous weapon listings. And no conquest map is complete without a death pit. In order to capture the territory, you must be on the bridge. So, falling off while your fighting can happen. Weapons on map: (Per Team | Total) Spikers 2 | 4 Spike Grenades 3 | 6 Frag Grenades 4 | 8 SMGs 2 | 4 Magnums 1 | 2 Plasma Rifles 2 | 4 Plasma Pistols 1 | 2 BRs 1 | 2 These Weapons are all Conquest standard. And for all conquest maps, there is no equipment, besides spike and frag grenades. I would like to see feedback because I'm planning on making a v2 since somethings could always be a little better. So, if you find anything seriously wrong I'll fix it for this version(esp. things like stuff not spawning at the begining such as walls. I checked but you can't always tell). And if you have any suggestions for a v2 then please reply. Gracias, Hank102938
i really like the death pit idea, its unique in that you never actually have to cross the bridge, you just have to sit on it, otherwise its not a super unique conquest map, but its still pretty cool. 3.5/5
It seems like all of the conquest maps are the same to me...sigh...Unless there is something greatly original, I usually don't download conquest maps. This, to me, looks like your basic conquest map with your usual conquest gameplay. Your aesthetics are good, but there really isn't anything special or unique about your map. Overall-3.5/5 It looks good, but it just needs something to wow the crowd
Well to start off i cant tell where your territories begin and end, and that isn't a good thing while making a conquest map. It should be pretty obvious where one territory starts and the other one ends. The death pit doesn't really flow well with the rest of the map, it just sticks out there. If you need to be on that bridge, like you say, then it doesn't really all go in a straight, linear, path like it is supposed to. Also, the weapon spawns aren't that noticable, it should be overly apparent where all your weapons are, so people don't waste time looking for them. overall this is a pretty good start, but there are some things that could be worked on.
