Okay, firstly, in Forge, Bungie had the smart idea of instead of putting in an undo button, or something equally useful, they decided to put in another button that can drop an object. That's right. To DROP an object. Not to pick it up, change the colour, or even undo something. They decided that Halo 3 needed to have two buttons to drop objects. And it doesn't even do it instantaneously. It takes a second to register. That's the complaint. And it touched on the idea.

The idea is, I know that Halo 3: ODST's multiplayer is basically Halo 3's, but you'd think Bungie could change a couple of things. Like changing the "B" button to something useful, like an undo button.

I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Forge was a last minute idea for Halo 3.

I think beta came in after that, and they only had a beta testing for multiplayer, not forge. So they couldn't really refine everything that well for forge, as they did for multiplayer.

Yes, In Halo ODSt or upcoming Halos the Idea might be registered because their fans want it, or They didn't use common sense and realized it. It was a quick process; Forge they didn't really have that much time.

I agree with that, but it would be a good idea to try and polish up a couple of things in ODST. It would be better for sales and make all of us forger's happier. Or bungie could release an update for it, but that's a long shot.

And ASC, do you seek to destroy ALL my threads? :p

If it wasn't for forge halo3 would not be where it is today. I am actually personally satisfied on how forge turned out. There weren't too many flaws with it. Bungie gave the world of forgers something to experiment with, and hell, we found on millions of things. If I could pick though, one button to be added to forge it would be an undo button. It would be helpful so much. I don't know why they thought of it. Maybe they thought forge wasn't going to be such a big thing.

It won't be in ODST. ODST will have a different campaign, a few more achievements and 3 extra MP maps. Everything else is the same.

I dislike the idea of an undo button, just get in to the habit of saving early and saving often.

I would just prefer that Bungie cleans things up in ODST. Don't make another Halo 2, Bungie.

    DON'T.

I, myself don't care for an undo button but an idea it to get rid of the AR.
And fix the ranking system by making you able to rank up if you win and getting rid od negative exp instead of being lazy and just banning kids that boost.

    I'm assuming that you had a type-o.

Lets just hope it's not another halo 3*

Lol, you sound like every other whinging kid on b.net:

    - The assault rifle will never be removed from any Halo game. If you don't like it, put it down and pick up a different weapon.
    - Trueskill is made by Microsoft, not by Bungie. GoW2 uses aa near exact replica of the one we have. If you can't rank up, then there;s a high possibility that that's how good you are. Not everyone's meant to get a 50. Try starting fresh in a new playlist. If your skill slows and essentially halts arounnd the same point, that proves that you're only that good at the game.

Also, I know forge has its problems, but if you save frequently and don't be careless then you'll be able toget around most problems.
Think about it this way, if forge weren't **** then we wouldn't be able to interlock, geomerge etc.

No, Blaze. You were wrong. Halo 1 and 3 are my current favourites. I hated Halo 2.

I'm just hoping that Reach will come with a real map editor. I'm talking about an actual map editor, like RTS style, not this timid item changer. A vast number of issues preventing some great ideas for maps could be solved if we had something better than a set of metal or stone blocks and walls. Map editors are supposed to give you the ability to play god, to shape the very land of the game world, not hand you a set of tinkertoys and tell you to get going.

Yeah, giving us actual working machinery-operated doors, gates, etc. would be really great. What would be even better is if we could actually change the dimensions of said doors, gates, et cetera...

I've heard Far Cry 2's map editor is superb, and is easy to use. Now, I don't have Far Cry 2, but if Far Cry 2 can do it on the 360, why can't Halo?

And yes, I like destroying your threads.

I'm about to finish off your other one.

Too late. And Far Cry's Editor is pretty cool, it's just a shame that Far Cry 2 online sucks ****.

I'd object. I was one who was actually really disappointed with the gameplay, but you'd be surprised, its actually REALLY good. I enjoy the online more (specifically CTD and Uprising on good maps) more than Halo 3's online. Farcry 2 has a lot of teamwork in it, especially when you're playing with a friend. Maps are really expansive so it never gets boring or repetitive.

But the only thing that sucks is that there's always one person who has EVERYTHING unlocked. The best of everything. And they are quite literally the best. Nothing stock is better than the best upgrades. That's what sucked in Battlefield, and it's what sucks in FC2.

But keep on the Forge subject! Not Far Cry!

I think an undo button would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I also think that a lock on feature could be created. To remove bumps you could hold a button and move you object close and it would lock on at whatever position making the walking much, much smoother. That's just my little idea that i think could do a lot.

I think he meant in Forge, Fishy. Its a pain in the rear that you can't start with a different weapon in forge, sometimes you need to test something out and you need a different weapon. What if you're on the budget glitch and you can't delete stuff, what then? But I'm sure you'll say "save early, save often"...

And you can get to 50, even if you're not good, and you're not boosting. My rank might be a bit inflated, and I know a lot of people I play with have inflated ranks and they don't try to boost they're just playing to play...

You 'hated' Halo 2? The only reason we have Halo 3 is because of Halo 2.

Anyways, Forge is not the only thing in Halo 3. It is not meant to be a burden upon your gaming experience with Halo. Forge is a optional, but very complex, mode that he/she should not take for granted. I mean, they could have put some sort of Mario Party counterpart as a mode, which as a matter of fact, is a very idiotic idea for game play in an 'ESRB rated; M for Mature' game.
