    D88H-AVTCI Gannet Dropship V3

    The Dropship-88 Heavy Anti-Vehicular Troop Carrier/Infantry Gannet Dropship is a Dropship-based ship designed for Anti-Vehicular Assaults. It has a different purpose too the D77H-TCI Pelican Dropship.
    The Gannet Dropship keeps to U.N.S.C naming traditions and is named after a seabird, such as the Albatross and Pelican.

    Ummm... where's the download link... Anyway this looks interesting, though from what I can see, it doesn't really look all that aesthetic (not trying to be rude). Maybe an overview pic would help.

    definalty needs a map overview and a dl link before any form of real analysis can be taken from what i can see from those pics i dont find it aestheticly pleasing

    Well, being perfectly honest with you mate, its not the best map i've seen but with a v2 this is promising. Ships are big hits in the aesthetic bit, this just needs a bit of fine tuning, a bit of Forge Techniques.
    For starters, try Interlocking certain areas. If you dont know how al teach you how GT: IVI I IL IL A R.
    Easy, quicker adjustments would be decorate the armory by putting in pillars, making sub-rooms, etc, and not using pallets to hold the warthog as if you shoot one, it will tumble off. Try attaching it to a grav lift on the other side of a wall to hold it up. Also, make it look more shippy (not a word) by adding engines, improving the spacing of the cockpit and overall more aerodynamic. Take tips from the more popular ship maps, such as Titan on Avalanche and The Pillar of Autumn, also Ava.

    I rated it a 3 star. Good try.

    An overview would be nice. From the pics it just looks like a floating armory, but what really caught my eye was the deployable warthog. Can you go into detail of how it works?

    It's very simple.

    Pallets float in the sky bubble, vehicles don't.

    You destroy the pallets, the vehicle falls onto a LOT of cannon mans/grav lifts (Too stop explosion from such a fall).

    I plan on replacing the grav lifts/man cannons with a structure.

    I made an unposted map like this and for the landing mechanism, I place a horizontal shield door where the warthog would land and the warthog fell right through it and landed very slowly on the other side. So i built a building around the shield door with the warthog landin into a garage.

    I suggest you do the same in a v2

    This is not the best ship I have seen on ForgeHub; then again, who can compare their first works to Titan and other such beauties. I like your style, man, but I do not like the lack of aesthetic elements you put in to this. The way I see it, you can do two things. First option is to sift through the literal library of aesthetic ships and take not of what the forger's did to make the birds beautiful. Then, make a v2 incorporating all of the applicable pointers that you pick up. Second option would be to leave the map the way it is, but add a vehicle heavy attacker's base on the surface. That way, the teams could battle it out according to your description.

    Your map needs work, but seeing what you have, I would gladly forge with you anytime.

    I've replaced the gravity lifts/man cannons with Shield Doors and added an O.D.S.T. Pod too one of the sides.

    Updated to V3.

    The next update I do will be heavily based on Aesthetics of the drop-ship, any suggestions? (U.N.S.C. don't use wings any more due too weight unless the ship is based more on speed (Like the longsword), it will use propulsion from Ventral thrusters (Like the pelican) )

    Nice map, and I will dl this. I tried to make a platform like this with the same concept or like an AC-130U gunship, but I got tired of it and quit. It was aesthetically based, and I wanted to have a design completely on its own, not looking like a pelican, longsword, UNSC ship, or AC-130. I wanted it to be an angular airplane thing, but again, I got tired of it and quit.

    it's a nice map, but the weapons just seem to be sitting on the floor from the pic, also I don't understand the 'landing structure' does the warthog land on it?

    Is this a ship or a platform that you can drop a warthog from? I'm liking the idea of an ODST theme, but seriously come on, there are better ships out there that can do the same thing. I can't see many great aesthetic features apart form that "landing platform" thing and event that's youre old one. 1.5/5 - i'm sorry but it's pretty poor quality.
