This map includes nearly every feature of the original Deck 16, one of the best UT deathmatch maps. You even have to nade (impact hammer) jump to reach the powerups. There are a few differences due to the limitations of Forge but overall it is very accurate. Only the slayer gametype is set up and the map is best suited for 2-8 players in team or FFA. Pictures (Text links to full size): Blue starting point by a shotgun (flak cannon in UT) spawn Hall to the left of blue spawn with the active camo (uDamage) Long hallway with shotgun and sniperspawns Looking down from sniper nest Looking across the bridge to red spawn. Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map Im pretty sure your supposed to embed all your pics.
Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map This is not correctly posted. It would do you good to this topic for the posting rules.
Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map alright this map could be greatly improved by the forging 101 sectionhttp://www.forgehub.com/home/index.php?page=46 also i like the idea but you just need to tidy it up a bit and add a few more br's and less power weapons.
Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map There are a lot of power weapons because I was replicating the UT placements. I haven't played a game on this level yet, so I could only guess at balanced respawn times. Right now the clip size on shotguns and rockets is 0 and they are set to respawn at 45 and 60 seconds. If that proves to cause too much chaos I'll up them to 60 and 90 or greater. Can't add any more BRs though since I'm at $0. There are 5 which I think should be enough.
Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map alright the weapons sound good also bridges are better presented when they are placed upside down and maybe you should just go around and straighten all the walls and boxes just to make it look more presentable.
Re: Deck 117 - remake of an Unreal Tournament map i think you should check out forging 101 to learn how to interlock to make you map neater and run a lot smother
Even without interlocking the walls look a little jagged. But I'll hold my criticism and feedback. I'm going to download it and give it a shot cause it does look pretty fun. I'll edit this post to get back to you after I've played it.
