my only request for Gears 2 is - fix the damn achievements! Chainsaw took me 157 (not counting over 100 annex kills before I realized those don't count) Also - better online system (host migration, system selects best connection for host at game start, possibly even playlists, achievements, kills, rank still count when opposing team quits) And, more gametypes, since the game really only shipped with Elimination. Essentially they have Elim (Warzone), Elim (Execution) VIP Elim (Assassination), and Crazy King (Annex). And nobody plays assassination. Seriously, I'd just like to see some deathmatch, where I can respawn after I die, not wait for everyone else to die first.
Gears and Halo are the only two necessary online matchmaking games. Third+first, rounds+respawns, Harder+Faster. Gears is awesome, and when I first heard it was gona be the 360's big hitter before halo..I was like whats this? Then I bought it and understoof why. Kills are so satisfying, the campaign was sweet without revealing too much, the over-the-top gore is perfect. Gears wrecks..and if Gears 2 is even half as good, the 360 will be looking pretty sweet for the rest of this gen (take that PS3!)
When the Gears 2 comes out, I think it will be incredible because they said the first was a settup for the second, to see what needed to be fixed and changed with the gameplay and graphics. Wonder what the story line will be like though. Gears of War's story line sucked maddly, but the gameplay was great.
Gears 2 is gonna own. I thought the Campaign was great (while short), the gameplay was awesome, and the graphics, well, you can't get much better than Gear's. I only wish that epic would release the campaign expansion that they included for the PC version, along with the extra map. When i heard about that, it really mad me mad.
