Hey everyone, this is my first post on here. I have seen this forum before and was never really into forge but since getting the Mythic Map pack have persuaded myself to like it. I use to be a member of a forum called ShooterClips, which recently shut down leaving me with no Halo forum. I resorted to Bungie.net to be greeted by many immature people who care only for themselves. So I have come here and this place seems cool Anyways back on track my quick question is : How can i place a , say respawn point, for a flag/bomb? Like I have made this wicked as map which I will post about tommorrow (when its all good on Youtube, still proccessing) but its made mainly for CTF (single flag) and bomb based games. (can be played with plain TeamSlayer though) So how can i place these 'spawn points'? Thanks heaps!!! cya around, and if anyone here is from SC/TRP, its Gezza
Go into forgeball, change gametype to assault, rounds restarts, go to item menu, go to the objective one and you can then place a spawn.. Enjoy
Yes, basically, while in forge ball, press start and then change gametype. Change it to assult or CTF whatever. Scroll over to the menu that says Objectives or Goals. There you will see spawn points and capture points for the bomb/flag. Also, i recommend you Test your map before you post it. You will quickly learn to like FH. It is very useful and is recognized by bungie itself. I've been a member since last May but just recently got into it. Ok back on topic. You can go into forge and change gametype to CFT/Assault. Then go and look at spawn section. You can place spawns for when flags are away or are when they are home. Then you can press X and change whether you want Attackers or Defenders to spawn there. And welcome to FH. Hope your stay is enjoyable
Thanks, and will I need to make a new map if I want it to be able to play CTF and assault? What I mean is will I need one map with the Flag Spawn, then another map with the Bomb spawn and another map with neither, or can i put them all where I want and then when I swap gametypes it will disapear and the other one will appear?
You don't need to have separate maps. You can have 1 of each gametype for every map you make. All you have to do is switch gametypes in forge as stated above and don't forget to save.
Well think about it like this...If you play capture the flag on Valhalla, do bomb spawns appear? : ]. Hope that answered your question. If you didn't get it. Yes they will disappear. No new maps needed. EDIt: Looks like someone beet me to the answer. lol?
