I have a problem…I'm using a CP. QuickPwn runs perfectly, my iPhone 3G is successfully jailbroken with the custom boot logo. When my iPhone turns on everything is how it should be, except there’s no Cydia and no Installer, but there is a new app which sends me to the QuickPwn site. I know it’s been jailbroken because of the custom boot logo, and I’ve repeated the jailbraking process but each time the same thing happens, I get an app that links to this site, but no Cydia and no Installer. Please help!
I'm pretty sure you have to tick "Install Cydia & Installer" when you run the jailbreaking process. I use pwnagetool on Mac and it pops up with tick-boxes for each, I didn't bother with Installer personally. If I remember rightly, isn't QuickPwn the Windows version of PwnageTool, as it's made by the Dev team? Surely it has some sort of option somewhere to install them when doing the jailbreaking.
It does have that option (to install Cydia, Installer and the custom Boot Logo) and I make sure to check all boxes. I've tried the process a few times now, and it just doesn't seem to work.
Hmmm, that's definitely strange :/ Maybe try re-installing QuickPwn itself, or updating it if it's a little old? Past that I'm really not sure. Have you had a look at any forums such as pr0x to see if there anyone else has had similar problems?
