I've started to work on a map that features a highway with moving cars and motor cycles. Now that I've got that part done, I am not sure what to do about the rest of the map. What Gametype should I use... What should I build around it? Could you guys help me out? Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Here are some pictures, I don't think I need to label them, just keep in mind that it is not neat right now.

I think it would be interesting to be a competitive map. The highway would certainly be an interesting are of the map. I was thinking a 2-base style gameplay, but that crafting of gameplay style is up to. It looks promising. The only problem is that players could drive the vehicles.

Perhaps make a mini-game out of it? Frogger anyone? Perhaps...

Its funny that you mention Frogger. It originally was intended to be just that. However after realizing that the respawns of the vehicles was just a little to slow for Frogger, I gave up on that idea but was left with this map. I like the idea of 2 bases, that what I had in mind. I've never made a competitive map before so im not sure about that. I thought though that it could be a KOTH gametype and have the hill be in the middle of the highway sometimes.

Kinda reminds me of the Terminal train from Halo 2, although this is a bit more hectic. Props for having a good idea, but what if the vehicles don't make it far enough, or slow down after hitting someone? Would you have to play in a custom gametype that disables vehicles? You could make a symmetrical map that has that hazard separating the bases.

you could set them for instant respawn, and for the game type make it territories and have the area where the "frog: needs to get to is the territory.

DUDE............FROGGER!!!!! thats really cool i cant wait to see how this map turns out! Oh and i know how you could do it, make the people slow and have it be an imediate victory for territory capture and a whole round set up thing. This is my basic input but you could expand on it.

Thanks everyone for you input, its really helpful. A lot of people are going for me making frogger. The only thing is that it is really easy to cross it, as the vehicles do not spawn in fast enough (any idea's on how to make it faster would help, currently have them on 10 second respawn, full minimum object number, and they are destroyed in kill balls at the end). Maybe ill post a video to show what I mean.
Yes, the vehicles sometimes do not make it far enough and will mess up. Unless someone can think of a solution for this with the limited amount of cannon's and grav-lifts , it will just have to be a gametype that does not allow getting into vehicles. Personally I dont see a problem with having that type of game.

slanted highway. a little push from a grav lift or man cannon will send any vehicle rolling down...for a little while.

The minimum vehicle respawn time is 20 seconds, even if you set 10 or instant spawn. Place a killball right at the beginning so that a destroyed vehicle goes through the thing. That should give you a few extra seconds, along with preventing anyone from getting in or vehicles stopping being a major issue (they will delete on the next respawn, 20 seconds later). Also, alternate your timing a little (IE. 20 seconds, then 30 seconds, then 20 seconds). That could make it harder if it's done right.
